You earn moneyz to build your prison and to hire more dudes to watch your prison.
Edit: Honestly paradox is tearing this game apart i know that introversion didint want to add anything and was done with the game but selling it to paradox was a bad idea. We get free updates and paid dlcs which is not a bad thing if those dlcs were actually good and not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buggy mess
