PROS
-probably the best NFS game since like 2013
-car customisation is extremely in depth, visual customisation and its variety as well as incorporation of shared community creations is one of the most impressive aspects of the game
-the map is varied in environment, from Miami-esque city streets to dirt roads in rolling hills and twisting mountainous roads
-cars do manage to actually feel distinguishable from each other in how they handle, driving a Dodge Charger feels very different to driving a Porsche
-Day/Night system allows for varied gameplay, cop chases at night even when you have high end upgraded cars are difficult and intense, varieties of vehicles and countermeasures are deployed against you, this is nowhere easy as escaping cops in e.g. GTA 5
- the story, whilst relatively short if you blaze through it, still has engaging main plot points, the final mission is a nice throwback to NFS Most Wanted (the good, original one, not the 2012 one)
- wide variety of collectibles and challenges to complete if thats your thing
- no MTX, everything is earned in-game
- in game music is pretty decent overall, picked out quite a few tracks that i liked to add to my own playlsits

CONS
-Day/Night cycle gameplay loop can get monotonous, no reason to play at Night anymore once you reach the cap of 50 Rep
- overall events such as races are repetitive with little variance, if you want to farm money to save up for expensive purchases you'll often find yourself repeating the few same races on a daily cycle, making for a dull experience
- no reason to continue playing after completing the story and reaching Rep level 50, EA ended post launch support for this game very soon after it came out so that they could shift the devs to working on Battlefield 2042
- a lot of story missions are just filler, with the few occasional major ones having cutscenes
- even on the Hard difficulty, the game can just sometimes be pretty easy once you get past the early stages
- not much benefit to playing online either apart from just messing about with friends, lack of post story


still got a lot longer out of it than i anticipated, shame EA cut support for this game so soon after launch, overall i'd give it a 7/10, definitely wait till sale or get the Deluxe Edition for free with EA Play like i did

literal masterpiece, one of the best games i've ever played that heavily draws you into the world and characters, only negative is that the game eventually ends :(
