Less engaging than what I expected, honestly.

It's a pretty humble game and clearly a labor of love from someone who likes adding all his crazy ideas to his projects. Overall, I do not like it but if you don't mind the graphical style like I do then you'll likely get a good bang for your buck.

Stupidly good game, literally 0 complaints. A great experience start-to-finish.

Fire writing but the gameplay is soulsucking at times.

I have this thing with fromsoft games where i'll like the world setting and the initial experience but I always feel discontent with whatever build I got going on and I end up going on a spree of creating and deleting characters because I'm never satisfied... And playing the game through the same areas so many times kinda burned me out.

Elden ring reforged is awesome btw.

Sure, it's good, but…

I do have some qualms with the game:

-It suffers from what I like to call "FromSoftware Syndrome", where every optimized build ends up looking like an unholy mix-and-match of AC pieces that clash visually. The result? A robot that looks more like contemporary art than a war machine.

-On top of that, you have to play through the game at least twice to collect all the necessary parts for some builds, which felt tedious as I already had my fill of the campaign and don't like to play stories more than once. (Looking at you, coral weapons.)

-The difficulty feels inconsistent at times, heavily depending on your build. Some setups make the game feel like a breeze, while others seem gimped in some missions. I understand the player is meant to adapt, but what if I don't find adapting particularly interesting?

-To add to the last point, most ways of playing just aren't particularly stimulating to me, so if you happen to exclusively enjoy a single style of play, don't expect the game to accomodate you.

Worldless is a prime example of polish! I enjoyed it at least 20 times more than Hollow Knight. The pacing is masterful, and the level design feels like the developers meticulously replayed it to perfect every moment. I also don't get frustrated by the platforming overstaying its welcome. :')

A fundamentally simple yet very deep game that gives a variety of solutions to any given situation. Neat!

Addendum: I REALLY wish units told you their stats more completely before buying their access, because sometimes I forget stuff like speed values which is very important for proper formations.
