Addendum after 105 hours:

It's too good.

Not a bad game, but the start takes so long to get interesting I couldn't bear to continue playing.

I've been having the same kind of fun I had when I first started playing Stellaris, though there's no faction/empire customization or nearly as much flavor text... The gameplay itself has a lot of nuanced decisionmaking. I just wish some obscure mechanics such as culture were better explained in the tutorials, alternatively they could write an in-game glossary explaining the function of different structures and ships.

Overrated combat.

Yeah this is definitely better than the 1st one.

I liked the story.

Late game combat is a chore, though.

Wish they had put more effort in weapon models

It's a beautiful game in more ways than one. I bought this game long ago but for some reason, I just wasn't able to enjoy it, or even tell what was going on my screen, I returned to it recently and fell in love, I think this beats Redout in how much I'm enjoying it, I'd also like to add that the soundtrack of the game is spectacular.

Spread the gospel of rank 10 trains.

I loved this game for a while but when I got bored of my deck getting another one was simply impossible even if I paid money for less grinding.
