A gem if you can overlook its faults, also in need of a bigger playerbase, to allow newer players to get into matchmaking more quickly, but here's what I did:

step 1: get into duels and play some matches, it's easier to find a single player around your level than 7 around your level
step 2: reach rep 1
step 3: profit, enjoy playing, matchmaking will still take long tho, but no more than 10 mins at worst (from my experience)
