I enjoy Dota 2 for multiple reasons. Firstly the game itself is beautifully made, though valve is often flamed for its questionable customer service, it has spent a huge amount of time and resources on the development of Dota. This is also evident in their recent actions to respond to customer issues.The game has a plethora of in depth mechanics which you do not find in other games. Not to discredit league of legends by any means but Dota is a much more exciting and well made game. This includes deny mechanics, turn rate and so on. It is a pleasure to learn these mechanics and how the game works. In addition to this, any content related to gameplay is completely free on Dota whereas on other games such as league, people must buy champions. This gives all the players an equal point to start from, which is only fair.Another factor to me is the endless possibilities in which a game can end in. Not only the result of the game, the individual options within the game itself. This includes the itemisation, builds, talents, lanes and so on. With over a 110 heroes to pick from, every game presents something new, the meta is always changing. This really piques my interest as it means that I won't get bored my playing the supposedly same map over and over again. If I were to play a single player game 5 times over, I would inevitably get bored. Even a wonderful game like the Witcher which I enjoyed on my first 2 runs started to become repetitive on my 3rd run. This is impossible in Dota as there are an almost infinite number of permutations and ways to reach the objective of destroying your opponent's objective.Lastly I would like to add that Dota has multiple quality-of-life features like the user friendly UI and their new initiative to make the game more beginner friendly.
