Best game I have ever played, I am incredibly lonely

This game is extremely long and took me several months to finally complete as near the end I just had to take a break, and it can often be really slow. If you're looking for a gameplay heavy time killer this probably isn't it.

The writing can be a little cringe at times, especially involving female characters, but overall it brings a lovable cast to the table with some very funny moments and some very emotional moments. The soundtrack is great, maybe not as good as Persona 3's or Persona 5's. but still extremely solid. The story, characters, and general environment definitely left an impact on me, and I was sad to see them all go. Every character had something that made them special and made me connect to them, whether it was a main party member or a side character, you'll learn to appreciate how colorful they all are. The story was slow, yet enthralling, and even though I had a good portion spoiled, I was still often questioning things that were happening and being drawn in, so I can only imagine what going in blind would be like.

The gameplay holds up for what it is. The dungeon design is a little dated, but that's to be expected. Dungeons can definitely get really dull to go through, while I enjoyed some I found almost no enjoyment in others. Some Bosses are really fun, while others are kind of uninteresting. Fights can be slow, but they can also be really satisfying. Core gameplay can be a mixed bag, and there isn't event that much of it. But to be honest, gameplay isn't really what made this game good.

While I had my problems with it and struggled to get to the end, I do love Persona 4. Its a very charming game and one I'll remember for a long time. What in lacks in game play, it makes up for with a well written story, and memorable characters. I began to feel at home with the town of Inaba. It'll be a long time before I play it again, if I ever do at all, and I wouldn't recommend it everyone, but for people who are really willing to soak time into a game and get invested, I'm positive you will feel like you got your moneys worth.
