Its pretty good. I played for a fair while. The Demo itself has only about 7 levels. However keep in mind, levels in this instance just refers to slightly more difficult enemy placements between each one as the game is an idle auto battler.

How the general loop goes is, you start by doing missions and shaking your coin programs to make money, then eventually you can buy shaker programs to automate making money, and gradually you amass programs from missions which act as your chips.

They produce chips over time, which then are stored in a stock up to 5, and are reloaded instantly while your battling. These progs require food which you buy. You can manually feed them or later on collect resources from missions to get an automatic feeder program. Later on you can also buy food production programs to make food for you.

So eventually the care or production part of the game gets automated out in favor of the battle system. My main flaw with the game is that i think this happens too fast, and the production stock system of the progs is not well balanced for progression through the game. You can only hold 5 of a chip, so only having 2-3 of a program at level 3, you'll quickly exceed this and always have chips ready. so there never feels like a point where your trying to balance chip use against enemies. Getting to the point where your a battle god in area 1 feels off

However do not let that dissaude you from trying the game, its still really fun and the idea of a desktop net navi is well worth it. Even my flaws, as small or big they may seem, are likely to be ironed out as the game is still in development, and the devs actually do really care about what features players want.

For what it provides for a demo, its pretty good. As you can customize your home net, have 7 areas each with a set of resources to collect for automation, and regularly generated quests for progs, materials, and other things. Like being able to create and implement your own custom navi.

Its basically wallpaper engine but for cursors. Really i dont see any reason not to get it unless your staunchly orthodox about your cursor appearance. less than 5 bucks, and alot of fun stuff out on the workshop.

I do like this game, that being said. While it has a way more varied presentation. It feels like it isn't as refined as later games of a similar concept such as Hi-Fi rush would achieve based on relatively similar ideas.

This game feels like it wants you to play on the beat, but your actively supposed to instead avoid things on the beat which isn't nearly as satisfying. Still very fun but it feels like it missed the opportunity to break into a concept that would have been extremely popular no more than 2 years later.

A game with this style, with the rhythmic coordinative bliss of hi-fi rush would have easily been the best of this subgenre of action game.

Still, you should play it, it has a great deal to offer.

Never forget, this is a live service done correctly.

by visionaries who are using the concept as more than a way to squeeze money out of the consumer.

It started rough but now its bigger than anything else on the market.

No paid dlc, Free updates, multiplayer and the ability to play offline and complete control over how you want to play.

Every corporate shill using Live Service as a platform to boost up their trash network numbers can eat their heart out.

While the dlc is fine, my only complaint isnt that they should be unlockable ingame. Its that this should have been a bonus for owning lethal league blaze, and this should have just been a way to get them without buying lethal league blaze. Similar to how the borderlands games did save data bonuses.

Also, give us candyman.

Early Access Review
This game is in early access and feels like it,

The gameplay is consistant and good, the only problem is every character sinks like a stone in the air, and going off stage unless your playing orcane is a near death sentence.

Air dashing also is super restrictive, if you dont land a hit on airdash, you enter free fall.

Don't expect this to be a masterful experience, and some animations are unfinished, with it being sketch or line art.

However take this opportunity to really put your input in, its a rare experience for a game to be this molten in a sense, what you suggest and say now could drastically change the game, and thats worth the game being a bit rough in early access.

I really want airdashing to be unlocked and a mod for the game existed before release that did that, and it felt great. If we push enough, we may be able to change that so airdashing is less restrictive.

Really good game, despite it being a numbered sequel it tells you everything you need to know as you play.

It basically feels like Sonic Adventure 3, all it needs is a chao garden and its good. (also a certain boss makes reference to chaos 0 for sure, so maybe we'll get to grow our own digital formies in a future sequel or dlc)

There is a slight control difference you have to get used to, your homing attack and light speed dash aren't tied to the jump or action button but specifically B, and to do the bounce you need to hold the trigger and press jump.

The homing attack "Jester Swipe" works more like in sonic heroes than in sonic Adventure 2 as in any amount of the pickups can be dashed from and not just specific lines of them, you can get used to it, but its definitely not as intuitive.

Also transformations are tied to the d-pad and you really only get 2 of them prior to post game both focused on combat more than traversal, with the other 2 being the protagonist from the last game, and a super op character used in the final battle.

Combat is fine though a bit shallow even after you get every move, this is where having those alternate forms would have helped

This seems a bit small but the d-pad is also for added attack and buff skills, all of these including transformations are bought from the shop but are never really necessary in the game, you'll make do just fine with base spark, which is nice, though it leads into my main critique of the game:

The Shop feels extremely underutilized, you can get just about everything in it well before the game is over and it feels like the developer wanted to put more in there but didn't feel like it was worth it, and frankly the developer is a total gigachad for reasons ill get into later/

So many items are either really useless (like the speed buff when the energy boost skill exists) or not expanded on enough to be worthwhile (like the cloud shot), both the transformations while useful more or less feel like the dev didn't want to actually add more (which to my knowledge he actually didn't), it just isnt quite enough to keep combat fresh, which bleeds into the purchasable moves DMC style, which there is only like 8 of them meaning you quickly end up doing very similar combos over and over again.

A really solid combat skeleton is here, and there is boss fights and combat sections in stages to really put it to work, but the developer really should expand more on it, since it seems they are still supplying this game with content. Which is probably this games greatest post-release addition.

The Dev was a total gigachad and added all the stage content from the last game for free to the post game. Given the game fills you in on everything important from the last game and you can play every stage with the original character from that game, you basically get the second game for free albiet missing cutscenes, The first game was 2d so obviously it wasn't added.

Mind you I beat the main story in 10 hours, but the game borderline begs you to try to explore it for all the secret medals and speed run it. There isn't much reward other than bragging but i prefer that over hiding content behind impossible tasks in the case of speedrunning. The extra stages while not large add probably an extra 2 hours, and you have new game plus and difficulty options for combat and platforming.

A small concession however is that if you do so, you gain more of the games version of emblems called "Freedom Medals" which do help you at a very important point in the game, so don't neglect atleast going over a stage if your not trying to get a max rank time.

The story while really funny when you look at the bare minimum context of it starting (the main character creates a anti-facist revolution because the internet went out), it very much turns into Evangelion and The Big O put into a blender and garnished with Crack by the end, including the penultimate stage boss being a giant mech fight, leading into the world ending, and a hellish loop of eternal planetary extinction.

Overall considering you basically get the previous game for free with it and Neon Genesis Big O with Electric murder clown aliens, its worth its price. Who knows maybe the dev will add more.

Its an indie title that deserves way more credit and attention than it already has, especially since sega by frontiers has all but given up on actually trying to go back to the adventure style gameplay, this is a worthy successor and I hope to see more.

Also aka, buy spark 1 if you like 2d platformers, and get spark 3 to play spark 2 and 3 and just watch the spark 2 cutscenes to fill in any gaps if you want.

This game feels so good its not even funny, though it is really fun.

Everything about it feels like the og doom and duke nukem games brought into vr

Its a must play for vr, its everything right about how to do a vr shooting game without all the hyper realistic nonsense.

This game is a game that people should be buying headsets for, and its compatible with literally all of them.

Everything about this game appeals to the nostalgic side of doom and to the era in the 90's where vr was so desired but so impossible.

It feels good to play, and is super adjustable via the mutations system to make it as close to whatever experience you had. you can make the game function like doom if you want.

my favorite part of the game is that enemies arent bullet sponges, headshots (atleast on easy mode), will instantly kill human enemies. it feels super good to get a feel for the iron sights walk into a room and head shot all of the guards without a second thought.

Its honestly my only "gripe" with the game, it never feels like you absolutely need to use most of the rest of your weapons and considering pistols are the most accessible and have infinite ammo, zero spread, and the most accessible instakill potential with skill, and have really good fire rate.

you really have no reason to use the other weapons which usually have spread or other mechanics that make aim more difficult, and require ammo and unless you use the auto reload mutation you gotta reload manually meaning you gotta store or drop one of your weapons to reload.

while the pistols reload (more like disperse heat) automatically without any action, and don't need to unless you fire too much, its much easier to dual wield them, and if your aiming's good you'll do probably better.

That doesnt mean the weapons are useless its just that quickly you find that if you have the skill to aim guns, the pistol is gonna become your best friend.

That being said the other weapons feel great, i dont really think its a downside that the pistol is good, i think its more so you get to use the weapon you feel like using. i love the shotgun and railgun even if the pistol is so good there isnt any reason i cant just swap over to the railgun for a bit as long as im not gonna risk dying trying to reload it.

Though honestly considering the developer wants to add more post game goodies to make the game more fun, it be cool to have a mode where everything has infinite ammo/auto reload like the pistol.

Its not hyper realistic, but if i wanted hyper realistic graphics in first person vr, id just go outside, this scratches an itch for a retro doom vr game.

Its obvious the creator has created a standout pcvr title, and if i were him i'd look to porting it to psvr2 . this game objectively is a standout vr title and does so much right.

This game is good, really good. problem is the community can really be the opposite sometimes

The season pass 1 clearly showed what you would get when you bought it, it specifically outlined 4 dlcs as the year 1 dlcs otherwise known as a season of dlcs (mind you they finished dlc year 1 in a year and a half, but regardless it was already previously outlined so that point is moot)
They do not owe you more than what you payed for, stop pretending like they would have made dlc 5 & 6 and also put it in the first season pass. Season pass 2 is the second season of content, if you dont want to pay for it... dont. But they sure as hell dont owe you it at all.
If anything them giving you the multiverse pack was a nice boon as that wasnt outlined but they gave it out of goodwill, from what i can see the lot of you dont really deserve to get it for free.

Bl3 story isnt good, except dlc 1 & 4 which has a great story (personally my favorite dlc is dlc4 because of that, despite its failings)
Gunplay is excellent, and it improves on alot of the issues with bl2 (except for the villain and plot)
Movement is as fluid as ever, but gotta realise it took 3-4 years of bl2 patches for the game to feel damn near perfect and people seem to forget that, so please do keep in mind your gonna run into some rough spots and bugs here and there.

one major flaw i see is the lack of raritys, grey green blue purple yellow. No cool pearlescent, seraph, jewel, glitch, or effervecent like before. So your gonna see alot of legendaries that if we were to apply bl2 standards would be seraph or pearl instead of legendary. so there is alot of varying quality in legendaries. For every sandhawk and Face puncher, there is a 10 gallon and Malik's bane.
Reminder, they are still working everything out balance and if you want to use bl2 as a shining standard you need to give bl3 the time bl2 had to meet it. Yeah bl2 had jack to keep the pace up, but bl3 has great shining parts that keep the game afloat by doing alot of what bl2 couldnt like the honestly fluid and well written relationship between wainwright and hammerlocke ("Come and catch me ya rat bastard"), or the insanely competitant skill setups and gunplay which bl2 sadly sorta dropped quickly regardless of what you remember, (top dps was gunzerker harold & grog, everything else was grog slag and stagecoach)

We can love bl2 and remember it fondly, but we cant forget where it did let us down, and bl3 does lessen its downs at the slight cost of some spots like the villains and parts of the humor (the rat bastard comment is still extremely funny to me),

problem is bl2 existed in a time where it was unique and bl3 exists at a time where people demand certain things and act like its a personal attack on their way of life when they dont get their way.

Bl3 i hope is remembered fondly in the future, and i think you should buy it, if you really dont want to support a practice of the dlc they did (even tho its what they did for bl2, but regardless) then just dont buy the dlc, you arent obligated nor is the story heavily impacted with it (except for one, but generally the story doesnt change perspective by any of it)
all of the story in the dlc are seperate from the main game and one another with most having minimal future plot relevance, it does have small pieces tho (Spoilers on the plot relevance Wainwright and hammerlocke get married , jacks body double from blTPS escaped and is out in the world , Gaige is a wedding planner , Dlc 3 from what i can tell has zero plot relevance on the story, Axton i guess is either done with being a pornstar or is doing it on the side as he along with salvador (dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ask me what bloody pit of corpses he came from) are now gameshow hosts for a gameshow you can play in dlc5 , dlc4... has alot to unpack, first things first, all psychos are mentally linked by some extra dimensional mind raper known as the psychoreaver, this is why they all seem to dress the same and generally have the same form of psychosis. Kriegs dark side was an anomaly that his mind formed to protect him from the influence at the cost of concious control, this knowledge and means to get to the psychoreaver was mentally repressed and sealed away to prevent kreig from falling to it, Krieg and his dark side at the end of the dlc after the psychoreavers defeat seem to finally come together and merge as one coherent being (as coherent as the two together can be, and the dlc keeps their npcs seperate for side quest reasons), next maya's conciousness or some form of emotional/memory based backup of it, is alive in kreig, she says this directly in one of her text responses, the other mental fakes dont reference this and actively say they know they arent real or atleast dont mention thinking they are the real thing, even down to lilith mentioning her own death. Maya says she was able to implant herself into krieg like angel was able to do to objects and mentions things kreig wouldnt know like stuff on athenas. So for all intensive plot purposes, maya is alive in kriegs mind )

bl3 is good and if you really have an issue with the price, just grab it on sale. but regardless from how wrongly upset the community is, it is a good game and the dlc are just as good. season 1 and 2 are justified, and frankly i think you all should be making your own opinions instead of parroting dumb outrage from social media and other people
