Been playing this since closed beta before it was on steam. Seeing all the mixed reviews I thought I would chime in. This game is a good game to just kick back and take the stress off. I like to mine and hunt and chop trees. Especially when I just want to chill. So this game was right up my alley! They have added a lot since Closed beta. I remember when I first started beards weren't even a thing. So they have come a long way.

Pros:
The game is beautiful! You'll fall in love with the graphics instantly [ if you're on pc]

NPC interactions are cool. You even get a personality type.

Events certain time of the year is fun. The Majin market for Hotput was fun!

Romancing NPC's

Each NPC has their own quest and personalty.

Making your own house and decorating it is fun!

No pay to win. The pay system is literally clothing and pets. Nothing more. I will spend money on it later on down the line, bc some of the outfits are cool! Plus I want a pet!

Friendly helpful community and devs especially on the discord.

Cons:

Bugs can become and issue here and there. I know its a free game, but I've comes across A LOT that's stopped me from enjoying the game play. From cooking, to climbing [that appears to be better now] to getting kicked out of parties with friends from switching a part of the map. That can be a bit annoying to keep me from enjoying the gameplay.

No end game things:

I've been taking my time on quest, bc I'm really behind just focused on my skills. There's not really much to do end game besides gather flow trees and expanding your plot. I feel like they could add certain events, or even fishing tournaments to keep the game interesting near the end. I know its still in opened beta [It does say beta still on the screen btw. I've been seeing people complain about that. When its literally right there!] so kind of excited to see what they do with it.

Hitting a body of water can be annoying. I wish they'd add swimming. You literally just restart from where you were. The map has A LOT of water.

Other than these things they're constantly improving and I look forward to more Palia time!

Been playing this game with my wife for awhile now. I think, it' time I finally review it. I will say congrats to this game, this is the first one in a long time that has kept me interested in it for awhile. The thought of being a vampire and expanding your castle seems awesome to me. When I was first introduced to it, I went in with a close mind, thinking this was going to be a typical RPG game I'd play for awhile and put down. Boy was I wrong. Here I am 123 hrs in and still going strong. Still trying to get my friends to play on my server, trying to build my guild, expand my castle to more than just one the map.
Pros:
Creating your own server and picking and choosing who you want to join.
Crafting is amazing in this game.
The style of game play keeps you on your toes, unless you're gathering, to which you can just chill, and gather much like runescape/ minecraft.
Not really a lot else postive to say. its a good game,
Combat is great and keeps you on your toes.
Cons:
The blood tracker is kind of useless. Sometimes you'll find yourself on the hunt and you'll have to wait for it to appear. It's easier to just go online and figure out where bosses are.
Camera view is a bit a annoying and takes some time to get used to, seems how you cant really see super far ahead of you, but that's fine.
Health potions in battle are capped. Which sucks.
Blood doesn't stack. I feel this is a personal preference, but it would make it super fun if it stacked.

Overall, they're constantly updating, constantly fixing things. I look forward to growing my server more and playing with more friends. I would highly recommend this game to people that like to play games with firends.

After playing 42 hrs on this game, I think it's safe to say I can review it now lol. The game plays like The Forest without the first person aspect. When comparing this game I like to say its the forest meets wildlands meets the sims. I say the sims bc you have to apply to peoples needs in the base and if you don't it effects your moral in the camp. Game runs fairly smooth. Especially, on ultra high settings. The only down fall I don't like about it is the perma-death ordeal. I do feel if someone goes down you should have at least 1 chance to pick them up if not, then they die. Just going down once and being done is a little harsh. But I do see where they are coming from. Only bugs I really encountered was getting stuck here and there with vehicles. If this game had a create your own character option and a bit of bigger map it would be the pefect game. The draw back of multiplayer is that your teammates can't loot some stuff on the map. Which can be a bit of a pain. Either way this is a fun game! I look forward to playing more and adding more to my base! Def recommend if you like shooters, zombies, the sims, the forest, and wild lands. This game can get really addicting really quick.

This game has come a long ways for me. I started playing it back when I was a console player and didn't even have a pc on like ps2? I have already spent countless hours on it. If you like stealth games that are very in-depth this a good game for you. If you don't want to find yourself hours and hours on in into a game, this might not be for your. The missions are long and take a good amount of time. Which I'm okay with. Perfect game if you like these type of things!

Just finished this game. Really good game, and really story driven. It's very hard to find that in a game nowadays. I felt that The Taken were kind over done. It seems like every corner you take there is one waiting for you. There was some time I had to even run without ammo because there was so many of them. The ending really left you hanging. It didn't wrap anything up. With that being said I will more than likely get the second game, sometime here soon. I really enjoyed this game. This game really reminded me a lot of The Twilight Zone with certain things. Very good game 9 out of 10

Played this game for a few hours and was not impressed if you've played any shooter with crazy mutilation, and gore, then you've played this game. This game brings nothing new to the shooter genre. I was highly disappointed, I was hoping for co op on the store or something along those lines. Don't know why they got rid of the original coop. I will get the original and play it after playing this. It def. got me intrigued to play the original and the others in the series. But this one was just terrible.

I've been playing the crap out of this game recently. It mixes stealth with a shooter and I love those type of games. It's cool that you kind of get to play villians as well. My friends and I will spend countless hours on this thing. Can't seem to get enough of this game.
