Dota 2 is the only MOBA I know of where paying money is not correlated with winning games. I don't understand why anyone would play a different MOBA considering just that, but everything about this game is designed to create the most competetive environment possible so that the best player wins - it is the ultimate challenge, and thus is ultimately rewarding to win.
