Mute everyone, never expect to win and find some enjoyment in being permanently harassed and you'll might enjoy this game as much as I do!

I'm only roughly three hours into this game but I can already say that I'll continue playing this. The developers actually care about it and updates are frequent. The gameplay is simple enough to enjoy without any tactical knowledge, but still deep enough to get really nerdy with CQB tactics.

I found the game through a YouTube creator named "Controlled Pairs Gaming" and his series "Door Kickers CQB tactics" and intantly fell in love with the look and gameplay of the game. As a fan of military tactics I knew I'd like it!

The main content will probably give you 6-8h of gameplay if you're satisfied with anything else than record times and three stars, but hey, if you're not, you will probably get another 15-20h. There's also a game mode where it randomly seeds a map with set amount of insurgents that will give fresh, new maps (with some wonky layouts) theoretically forever.

TLDR; 8/10 would commit tragical amounts of fratricides with a fourty mike mike again.

After being introduced to Squad shortly after release I quickly fell in love with the 'communication and tactics beats aim'-style of shooters and this is probably the best one I've tried so far. Since Squad/Post Scriptum is this games main competitor I'll post some Pros and Cons in comparison to those games.

Pros:

Much easier to get into. I had to squadlead my first game of HLL and I managed to do just fine without even looking up what I was supposed to do beforehand. Squadleaders have less 'to do' and the squads themselves are more self sufficient with supplies.

Less of a running simulator. Maps are better laid out to promote more action than Squad (understandably, since Squad is more hardcore than HLL) and it never feels like I need a vehicle or a garrison spawn to be able to get into combat without running for 10 minutes.

Smoother gameplay, both in terms of FPS and animations/gunplay.

More welcoming community. Never felt 'not welcome' in a match while asking questions while Squads community can be a bit harsh to newer players (and the HLL community actually like when the game is FTP during weekends!)

Cons:

Server finding system. Poorly designed and even with a freshly refreshed server list you will find yourself with the "Server queue is full, try again later" message, even though the server said 79/100.

Depth of gameplay. Just like previously mentioned Squad is more hardcore than this game with its supplies (ammo/construction) system, squadleading etc.

Suppression system needs work. The 'screen becomes black and my aim starts jumping to the top of my screen'-style of suppression while under fire is really annoying and terribly unrealistic.

....and I really can't think of much more, honestly.

TL;DR

Great game, easy to get into and with a great community. Might feel lackluster for really hardcore milsim gamers.
