Good fun game, can be a bit of a grind if you try to rush things, best played with friends as the pug system can be a little frustrating with people afk leaching.

SCUM is excellent. It’s still a bit of a fledgling in it's development hence the "Early Access" title but the game play is brilliant, some bugs here and there, but they are quickly addressed and put right by the active Dev's. As far as gameplay is concerned its pretty similar as every other open-world survival on the market: spawn, scavenge and shoot your way from zero to hero. What makes it unique is it's just not loot and shoot, metabolism is one of the key features that can dictate how you perform, you need to be hydrated, you need to eat sensible food to gain energy and muscle, snacking on junk food will make your character gain weight and lower the performance.
The puppets (zombies) are pretty damn fast and can throw out some hefty damage and there's a shed load of them in towns and city's which makes looting very challenging at times. What I really like about the game is the option to play single player or multiplayer, be part of a team or go it alone on your own private server.

A word of warning...this is not a game that you will understand and become competent in a couple of hours, it can be complicated at times but perseverance is key, soon you will be totally hooked on the addictive gameplay and will have many hours of fun in this survival game.
