I've completed the Story (Blitzing through to avoid getting spoiled) Yet there's still SO much more sidequests, exploration etc I have left to do, places to explore, enemies to fight, it really has it all. To call this a massive step up from Fallen Order (And Fallen Order is pretty damn great!) simply does not do it justice

That being said, I was extremely lucky that I avoided the performance issues plaguing many other PC players. Is the game worth it? 100%. but wait until the patches for performance if you're unsure. It's a phenomenal game, and REALLY scratched that Star Wars itch left when Battlefront II had it's support cut in 2020. It has been more than worth the wait to me

Also fear not gamers, there are ponchos! you just have to look for them... You might not like what you have to do to get them though *Shudders*

Well well, DayZ

Years ago I found myself craving a survival experience, I had played a tonne of Minecraft, but wanted something... more extreme. So I looked into the Crafting Dead mod at the time, and was instantly enamoured, Yet little did I know I was essentially playing DayZ in Minecraft

I came to DayZ years later, after some friends of mine had the game, I bought it at 1AM on the spot and downloaded it. Instantly falling in love with it. Yet this was back in 2019 (April, roughly) shortly after 1.0 released. And a weird time that was, development was dicey, communication was relatively lacking, and it seemed every update brought with it a new bug that would break the game for a few weeks until a fix was pushed. Yet despite this I couldn't put the game down, the environment, tense interactions, funny moments and intense firefights kept me playing consistently through everything

Yet since then, developer communication has significantly improved, updates are coming out in a much more timely manner, and when they do, bugs are minor/very quickly addressed when discovered, and generally in terms of stability the game is in a phenomenal state, with a bright future ahead (next major update is just around the corner) Worth noting you can also download "DayZ Experimental" to test new updates before they go live in order to squash any unwanted bugs

Stepping out of merely the game though. During the height of Covid, and at a rough time for me personally, I had been frustrated with the game, as most of my friends wanted to play boosted loot, trader servers, but it just, wasn't fun to me, I wanted a hardcore survival experience, and now Vanilla was just, mundane to me. Then I found Dayz Underground, coming for the hardcore CLE (Which I can confidently say makes damn near any other server a cakewalk) and being hooked in by the interactions, deep and rick lore of the server/factions present there, and all the friends I've made along the way

It's discounted now too, but I would definitely say it's worth the full price (Never gonna complain about a cheeky discount though ;) )

This is 1000% a game you should try if you like survival games where literally anything can happen, not to mention the modding support (PLEASE if you get this game, once you find your feet, try the Namalsk map, it will blow your MIND I swear to you)

Ah, Friday the 13th: The Game

For years (On Console) and more Recently (PC) I would intermittently come back to this game and marvel at how much fun it was, but more recently the sour taste of the lawsuit stunting the growth of the game/stunting new content additions

Does it have it's flaws? Of course, every game does, but even the occasional bug simply cannot take away from how fun and amazing this game is (ESPECIALLY with friends) Was on sale for £3 ($4) recently and a bunch of friends picked it up, and it's been a BLAST. Though it is 100 PERCENT worth the ~£12 they're charging for it now

If only the lawsuit hadn't clipped the wings of this lovely game we would've seen it soar ever higher, New Jasons, game modes, you name it :(

Fair warning that PC servers have a modded lobby problem, makes it tricky to find games sometimes, so 100% friends is the way to go! P2P hosting can be... something, but it still gets the job done
