Of all the intergalactic soup making games on Steam, this is clearly the best one.

This game is so much better than it has any business being. I got it as an afterthought in a bundle and it ended up being the highlight of it. This game is essentially zombie Lemmings. If that sounds good, then just buy it.
The visuals are stylish and it animates humorously. However, the gameplay is the standout feature. It consistently introduces new mechanics and abilities and forces you into different styles of play and strategies. It also iterates on what you have already been taught nicely, which gives a great sense of progression.

This is a very innovative game mechanically. Unlike most beat em ups, it has a good number of attacks which can be used situationally and this adds more depth to the combat. It also has a very clever finishing moves system that rewards you for performing three fatalities in a given amount of time. The humor is competent but it relies on making direct reference to older video games, such as having an Terminator Style robot saying "I'll be back". Just be warned, this game is extremely short. it can justify this based on it being a rogue-like game with permadeath, but it doesn't have the quantity of content to back it up; it likely needs three or four times more in order to feel fully flesh out. I was able to beat the game in under two hours on my second attempted playthrough. I recommend buying it in sale and playing at the highest difficulty.

This is among the finest games I've played. It had fantastic style and really innovative gameplay. Play with a controller because the analog sticks give you finer control of the speed of time.

This game is really excellent in a lot of ways. I didn't play the tabletop game prior to buying it but it still makes sense and was relatively easy to learn. I wish that the single player had a bit more meat after the campaign, for instance, you can make teams and play different types of tournaments but they didn't seem to mean much. I would have liked to be able to set up specific cups or have a bit more control over how it worked. I also wish that this game would have more character customization, perhaps something more akin to building models in the tabletop.
Overall, this game is on sale enough the I think its a no brainer, but I would likely recommend paying a little more for the legendary edition to get all of the teams, because I found it a bit shallow with just the standard races.

I essentially wanted an interactive version of the Retrowave videos on youtube that have images of cars driving into 80s futuristic landscapes. This is pretty much that.
I would like to see more variety on the cars dashboard, a cool death animation and the removal of the sound of the engine backfiring.

This game is an improvement on some of the other nba 2k games I've played in recent years, but it is a full priced retail game that includes a few free to play games inside it. What is unfortunate is they clearly prioritize the parts of the game that get you to spend money. The myteam mode is a joke. Player cards disappear if you run out of contracts and it takes multiple button presses to see how many contacts are left. They also make to impossible to cancel a game if you accidentally put the wrong player in, so an inadvertant button press can result in the loss of an important card. I don't think this was a mistake, it's a way to make you buy more packs. Other interesting modes, such as the black top, feel tragically under developed. Lots of other small, annoying faults, such as no way to auto skip all the cut scenes

Really fantastic

Excellent retro style hockey game. Fun to play, controlls well. If you like the early 90s EA sports hockey games, then you will feel at home. Desperately needs online.
