Modders are still rampant, even after the anti-cheat update.

Early Access Review
This is a great start! It was very smart on the devs' part to bring in the integral gameplay elements from Slime Rancher 1 as their early access content. Yes, there are things missing, and not many areas to explore so far, but it's still very easy to get invested for a couple hours at a time. The graphic overhaul is beautiful and absolutely stunning as well!

As for changes to gameplay, the largest I noticed was being able to collect materials when out and about, instead of relying on extractors that you place down on your ranch. The science lab is also in the main hub now, instead of being a purchasable extension, which I felt incentivized me to use it more often. There are a few new slimes that have been added, and most have interesting quirks/gimmicks to how they function, ESPECIALLY the flutter slimes. They are a type of slime that run freerange around your ranch! And if you can keep up their strict diet of semi-rare Moondew Nectar, they let out a radiant glow and stick next to other slimes in your ranch, reducing their agitation.

There is much to be added, but I trust the developers on delivering the new and older content alike. When you purchase this early access, you are investing in the core breakdown of the original with new features, experimental mechanics and a VERY beautiful looking game. I'm personally happy I paid for the beta, but I can fully understand if people want to wait for Slime Rancher 2's full release. But to all others who have bought in early and are watching the game develop from the start, I hope that you're also having a great time! ^.^

Love you all, and I hope this provides some helpful insight. <3

I am truthfully worried if this is what the product currently is so far, even if this is a demo. The release date is very close by, and I doubt many of the issues I ran into will be resolved by the time this is officially out. The facial animations have a hard time portraying the emotions of the characters, and they act oddly calm in situations of high-adrenaline. I had each graphic setting at a decent level, and I could still discern pixels in areas where it shouldn't be as prevalent (the tall grass, for example.) Overall, the graphics were underwhelming. (The shadow of walking backwards seemed like a slowed down version of the forwards animation.) The story seems fine, but it doesn't look like it'll mesh well with the gameplay at all.
