Decent shooter with a decent story if you have played the first game which is also decent. Id advise playing this game on a half decent PC with a pair of decent headphones to immerse yourself in this game. Overall rating: Decent

Story mode : LIke a cheeeeeezy action flick. (in a good way)
Rest of the single player modes : meh!
Online: The game shines here. Great netcode, and mostly stable connections. Pretty addictive if you're interested in getting good.

Its my second fighting game that i bought btw. The first one was difficult for a casual like me :P

Mafia 3 is an open world sandbox game which is set in 1968 in the city of New Bordeaux, which is a fictional creation of New Orleans.

The game ran at around 45 to 50 fps at 1920x1080 with custom graphics settings which were around the medium preset on my 1050ti and i7 7700hq. I didnot encounter any bugs apart from the game game crashing on me twice. The game has this filter which gives this orangish hue and the colors seem washed out. Reflections are horrible and some low res textures are seen. Even then the game does manage to look gorgeous at times. The facial animations for the cutscenes are some of the best ive seen (ahem andromeda) and help make the story even more authentic. You can see the love and care put into the game when free roaming the city, listening to the radio the effort to make this game as true to the time period shows.

The game starts out with Lincoln Clay returning from Vietnam to meet his uncle Sammy after which things take a turn for the worse for Linoln.I must say that the opening 5 hours are really gripping and action packed and had me completely involved in the story. Its after this when you need to collect the underbosses the game gets into a repetitive rythm of doing these missions where you either have to destroy certain supplies, kill or interrogate the enforcer. These missions can be a real grind but the underlying shooting mechanics and the sticky cover system and the option to play stealthy is what kept me going through the game. But when the story missions came boy they were good, taking down each area boss felt satisfying and the missions were in varied areas with different settings and circumstances. A mission in an abandoned theme park and one on a sinking ship are especially memorable. The underboss system where you assign districts to one of the three underbosses feels like a missed opportunity and they could have done more with that mechanic. It is towards the end where things start to pick up storywise and the story although predictable but the journey through it all and learning more about these characters and their motivations really makes you want to finish it to the end.

The season pass with the three stories are great and offer something different from the main game. The DLCs have been integrated well into the main game and can be played at anypoint throughout the main story. Id recommend playing them when the grind gets too much and for a change of pace.

Id recommend Mafia III. Why? Its a game meant to played at leisure and if you are remotely interested in the setting I promise youll be hooked.

Hearing about the nightmare of a pc port that this game was put me off from trying it out. Few weeks back saw the game as well as the entire season pass for 10 dollars. Having played rest of the arkham games i really wanted to see if things were as they had been reported.

As far as the being a port is concerned, i never encountered any game braking bugs or crashes. The game does require you to have a decent setup and i was able to get an average of 55 fps with the settings turned to high but the nvidia works stuff turned off on an i7 770hq and a 1050ti. The framerate would sometimes dip below 40 in certain areas.

Fans of the arkham series would have played it by now and if you havent it is a must buy. The story features arkham knight and scarecrow as the main antagonists. I do feel the arkham knight's character is way too one dimensional and his reveal is doesnt leave you suprised. This may be the best version of scarecrow yet, his voice is just so menacing and creates a sense of dread. There arent any boss battles in the base game but looking back at the story it doesnt really need it.

The batmobile is simply AWESOME, from the way it handles to the tank mode everything is done greatly well. There some sections were it does feel as its forced through into the gameplay but an excellent additition to the franchise.

The city is huge and you have loads of side missions. I recommend getting the the season of infamy dlc since there are more story missions which are very neatly integrated to the main game and the missions give a neat prespective to the other characters you faceoff in this dlc. The rest of them were pretty okay and the arkham episodes just provide more of the same brawler fights in scenarios with robin, redhood, batgirl and harley quinn.

All in all a great game especially if your a fan of the arkham games.
