It's a wonderful tool for playing tabletop with your friends whether they be people you know IRL or through the internet, especially if you live in an area where the game you like isn't popular or if you either can't or won't spend the money for an expensive miniature intensive game. The Workshop support is very good and it's constantly getting updated with new things, the controls are intuitive and everything looks very nice. Personally I use this for Warhammer 40K and Battletech, and I'm in the process of trying to convince my D&D groups to leave Roll20 and migrate to TTS since this program is simply superior in every way.
