The game itself is amazing and a strong GOTY candidate. Gonna be a while before it gets its review ratings back, but its worth playing anyway. As long as SONY doesnt try to pull its BS again.

After 3 months, suddenly players will be forced to make a PSN account and link it to steam. PSN is available in 69 countries around the world. Right now there are (roughly) 190 independent countries in the world.

The whole of Africa, except for SA, Egypt and even European countries like Belarus don't have PSN.

Even Lithuenia, Latvia and Estonia - states that are part of the european union and NATO members - are also excluded.

These people can't create accounts.

If your country is not on the list, you might try to create an account in a supported region, but remember:

Sony has the right to ban you for false credentials. You'll need a VPN and must pay in the currency of the country you choose.

3.1. All information provided during Account creation, and during the use of your Account, must be accurate and complete. We reserve the right to suspend, terminate or restrict any Account (including as stated in Section 12.2 of this Agreement) that uses or was created using false information, or that we determine was created or used for a purpose that violates this Agreement.

3.2. During Account creation you must select the country or region of your residence and in which your account will be registered in. Once your account is created, you will not be able to change the country or region code associated with your account.

12.2. Suspension or Termination by SIE. With or without notice, we may restrict, suspend or terminate your PSN Account and PlayStation Device, or indefinitely restrict, suspend or discontinue your access to or, or use of, certain PSN Content, offerings, features, products and services, if you violate this Agreement or we have a reasonable belief such a violation has or will occur, or as otherwise may be reasonably necessary to protect our PSN users, our partners, our platform, or other SIE interests.

Maybe this helps you understand why some people are annoyed.

You will be locked out of your account, and loose access to the game you paid for. Thousands of PSN users from Kazakhstan already experienced this in 2022. Their country is not PSN-supported, so they used russia as their region of origin, and got promptly suspended due to sanctions on russia. They are also unable to change their region or get access to their accounts.

So to summarize: PSN is not available world wide, not even in all countries of the EU. Sony has the right to ban everyone who uses wrong credentials, and they do. majority of the world is about to loose access to a game they paid for and played for months now, all because SONY wants to raise their daily user count on PSN and extract some more money from selling your personal data.

We will see how it goes, but if this tom♥♥♥♥ery goes into effect on June 6th, I'm going to refund the game as I will no longer be able to play it, there was nothing in EULA regarding 3rd-party accounts, a sticker on steam page that no one reads is NOT a legally binding contract, and the 3month period without enforcing it means there is no technical requirement to use PSN, while it also led players to believe it is not mandatory.

I refuse to support these predatory business practices.

The game is technically amazing. As in, the technical part of it is really good.

Story, immersion, lore, dialogue writing etc (things that make up an RPG) are below average.

HOWEVER, Nexus and LoversLab both offer you a WIDE selection of mods to make F4 an objectively good game. From classic weapons, visual holsters and backpacks, through bug fixes, patches and new mechanics (sim settlements) all the way to slavery, prostitution or running a drug den. This game is an excellent platform to spend hundreds, if not thousands of hours of playtime, with a minimum of about 150 active mods and plugins (i've been unable to go lower while keeping it interesting) allowing you to live out your fantasies of a post-nuclear world. In the future.

If you want actual post-nuclear world game, install FROST mod, then weep and despair as you:
- get shot like a ♥♥♥♥♥
- get eaten by mutants
- die from radiation
- loose your sanity
- get PTSD flashbacks whenever you hear combat music


Point is. If you're playing Fallout 4, play it with mods.

Having played this game for hundreds of hours when I was a kid, Im glad it came to steam.

Game is amazing. Great visuals and music, fascinating story, a LOT of player choices and side content.

Dont want to do main quests? Dont, go for a ride, accidentally drive into a village where you strike a deal to smuggle something into the City or stop a mugging on the street. Hunt down bounties, serial killers, missing merchandise etc. Look for weird murals, go to a club to get hammered and accidentally find an awesome job or get into a fistfight with some punk. Can always kick back in your apartment, drink some for fun, listening to cool music and try to pick the most silly outfit possible.

Game does its best to not limit you in any way shape or form, you are a merc.



As for bugs and glitches....


You HAVE to update ALL drivers you got or you can start hearing and seeing some weird ♥♥♥♥. My graphics drivers were out of date - game wouldnt start. Audio drivers out of date? Hear weird ♥♥♥♥ and clicking in the backgroung.

Update everything, just do it.

The game did crash a few times, mostly struggles with moving from intro once you get into NC (i play as a nomad) but all i had to do was restart my PC.

Other than that, its just a minor bug or glitch. A car morphing slightly into the gate on impact, datapad not in hand but on the back, nothing major and really that immersion breaking.

People been comparing it to Fallout 76, its certainly NOT that. My biggest bug so far (other than the crash) was when I tried to puck up a body before it fell to the ground and shoved it into a wall where it stayed. Thats it, certainly weird but its not like 50 Mr. Gutsies attacking you, your entire invetory dissapearing, black screens, invisible enemies, screen tear, getting under the map, camp going under water, ghouls attacking you in T pose mode, holotapes breaking, infinite duplication, stealing peoples inventory or breaking your console operating system.

Yea, bugs are minor and will be hashed out in the next month. Dont let a few ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tell you the 'game is unplayable' or 'its fallout 75/no mans sky again'. Its not.

After ending the game and clocking it at 76 hours - ♥♥♥♥ this game.

No, seriously ♥♥♥♥ it.

One is suicide. And the following credits are everyone you know tearing you a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for it.

2 are hidden, gotta know how to unlock them

Out of remaining 6, only one is not completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ depressing, and another one is somewhat awesome - you get a chance to go out as a legend, but its still depressing.

But the choices... no, na-ah. Think Walking Dead was depressing because Clem could kill Lee or leave Kenny to die?

Yea... wait till you go through this, and then reload the save to try a different ending for the path you chose (there are 4 paths, each has 2 endings) only to end up feeling like ♥♥♥♥ again.

While the single player is entertaining and interesting, multi is a cluster ♥♥♥♥ of useless ships and broken abilities. You cannot chose what players you will fight, therefore you can go with eldar corsairs against dark eldar, which is completely retarded. Orks vs necrons, Tau vs eldar etc. You can either get lucky and have a perfect match up, in which case unless you are almost brain-dead, you will win.
Of course, you can match poorly, and no matter your skill, you WILL loose.

Another thing entirely is how broken the game mechanics are.

Corsairs rely on speed to survive. I had a battlebarge outrun my frigates.

Tau rely on distance and firepower, yet half of their ships barely do any damage.

Necorns are fairly slow, obviously, but they get a short range teleport which... reveals their position. And they cant go stealth which means that mechanicus with Nova cannons can take them off one by one before they even reach max weapon distance...

Orks are completely broken. If you are half-decent in tactics, you can easily herd eldar, tau and necron ships into a box to tear them apart.

Tyranids are a joke, they are useless, nobody plays them. All you need to do to win against them is kill the battleship, after that its easy pickings.

Imperial Navy has bad match ups all around, Chaos/marines/eldar races will either board them and exterminate the ship crews or will kill you with hit and run tactics, which you cant properly counter with this faction.

Tau merchant fleet could just as well not exist, it is useless and no one plays it.

Overall. If you want to play the campaign, go to kickass or piratebay. Game is not worth its money unless you get it at a huge discount. Multiplayer is a mess that kills any fun in this game.

Oh did i mention you cant use stealth in AI battles? Thats right! AI knows exactly where your super-stealthy eldar ships are and will head straight for them, which effectively kills the game for 3 factions, since stealth is the only thing going for them.

If you REALLY want to try it out in mp... go for pvp, it will give you a chance at least.

My advice, get a friend you can play Massive Fleets with... turns out that torpedoing 3 Phalanxes with eldar cruisers is actually fun. Other than that, not much to see in mp.

This game was fun, but right now there are NO PLAYERS, the game is dead, simple as that. Do not recommend it until they get players back.

I hereby revise my statement, the game is awesome, poor people can ♥♥♥♥♥ all they want, if you're not willing to sell a kidney to play awesome games - you're not a real gamer.


Also, SE has bi-monthly subscription service called "DLC". Every so often, devs release a DLC with with something free and a ton of cosmetics and decorating blocks that add almost nothing to the game... excet for Sparks of the future and economy, buy those 2.

Game is awesome!! i played it for approx 90h, i know, steam says something diffrent, but im playing without steam- bought it on steam, and linked accounts with uber than downloaded game from their web site, steam is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Many features, many tactics, many planets , units and buildings, you can have unlimited army and fleet, you can smash planets or blow them up with "death star", nukes, anti nukes. orbital defense platforms, sxx`s fighters, tanks heavy tanks, ships, infrantry, planes, THIS GAME HAS IT ALL!! You can fight on every front, on sea, on ground and in space!! limitless tactics, armies, buildings. If this is not enough for you, than what are you looking for? This is the best RTS i ever played.
