This game clearly was not optomized for PC. In addition to having copious amounts of lag, I also encountered several control issues that made the game literally unplayable. My arrow keys seemed to be too sensitive, i.e I would tap up once and it would scroll up twice. In addition, once I got to the free-roaming portion my view wouldn't stop spinning, making it impossible for me to move around anywhere. Conversing with the other characters was also buggy, as some kind of "voice" meter would constantly pop up, making it nigh-impossible for me to click through the text. (I'm assuming that the "voice" meter is some kind of in-game mechanic, but as I couldn't get past the first five minutes of the demo, I have no idea.) I've also heard reports from people of the demo crashing when they tried to boot it up, and while that hasn't happened to me, I almost wish it had. It's clear that the PC demo was a mere afterthought to NIS, and these glitches have ruined what I assume is an otherwise great demo for me.
