Tarkov but fun

Minor spoilers:
The one thing that was putting me off of playing ultrakill initially was the retro style. Normally, games that have that kind of style take too many conventions from the games that they are paying homage to.
This isn't the case here.
Ultrakill is by far one of the best games I've ever played. The movement is fun and has an insane amount of depth. The guns feel right while each having their own use and not too much overlap. The enemies are fun and the bosses are challenging but not unfair.
After P-ranking the secret boss, I had to write this review. The game is too damn good not to.
My only worry is that other games will try to copy this going forward and end up saturating the market with this type of game. I enjoy this game because it is different, and has a lot of care put into the mechanics.
