Have seen some reviews recently (or rather some recent reviews), about this and Overwatch, Overwatch and this, virgin Overwatch vs chad Marvel Rivals etc. After hearing how people go on for half an hour and more about cosmetics and seen a lot of reactions I really can't be surprised about how things have ended up here and in the industry as a whole. I do not hate Marvel Rivals and its existence, or its similarities with Overwatch gimmicks, actually it's good that it can offer "competition" for better deals to consumers across other games but all that is secondary. Contrary to everyone else obsessed about sk1nz and mon3y, I am here for the gameplay aspect. Shortly after the game released I played with my friends and for the first 1-1.5 hours we had 0 losses. Even in situations where you think you lost, you kept dying, you have 0 healers in the team... at the end you see the victory screen and can't help but scratch your head and ask "How?". I can totally see how people would get hooked on this, at some point I couldn't even tell if those were real or AI players, however it really isn't enjoyable for me. Braindead gameplay where over half of the characters are useless (maybe not that bad objectively but really pale in contrast) and your actions don't matter too much when some enemy (I don't know Marvel sorry, but it was the Tracer equivalent and also the shark as a couple of examples) hits Q and the entire team gets wiped, or some other bs thing. The game understood us and so after the massive winning streak, which the people who play more poorly and those who enjoy nice colors on their screen might get caught on, we entered high MMR: full party queues where all of them kept using the same 8 characters and abusing every broken aspect of them as intended and DESPITE all of that, the outcome was still random! I guess people really love lottery, gambling and that sort of thing. Some people even defend it with "everything is unbalanced and broken, so it's balanced".
I don't even have to say anything about Overwatch here and how its more structured gameplay probably pushes away all those people who want to goof around and just have "fun" (you can have fun by putting your brain to work also). For me this is not the case, this becomes boring extremely fast and I would not recommend that people ] PLAY IT [. And yes I mean really PLAY and not look at the shop and put their salary into skins, or how good of a deal they are and how massive their value is, or how nice they look, how you can look at them and their 4$$ with 3rd person and how STRAIGHT they are (main argument of every anti-politics in gaming guy) and so on - things that have almost nothing to do with the actual game. I always thought games should be gameplay first - but as we can see by the numbers and actions taken on various games such as this one, the whole world disagrees.

Wtf is this. You could post this as teaser gameplay on youtube or something.
But since I had the pleasure to play it myself here are the impressions:
Visuals / Performance: Some artistic visuals I don't know / don't care too much but it doesn't make sense because it could run much better in my opinion. I have seen better visuals AND better performance on modded SOURCE, but people see UNREAL ENGINE so now you need a state of the art computer to run it.
Physics / Attention to Detail: The game is clunky and feels like a beta of a game made a decade ago, HL2 feels more robust I still don't get it how, also I ran into bugs and weird behavior with corpses somehow in my what.... 6 MINUTE PLAYTHROUGH. It looks to me like every corner has been sniffed out by some developers for far too long but it doesn't make any difference to me as there is no substance, it's a ravenholm reskin.
Gameplay: WHAT GAMEPLAY? IT'S <5 MINUTES. SHOOT THESE NEW HAIRY HEADCRABS / ZOMBIES AND ENTER HEAVEN (MAYBE I MISSED SO MUCH STUFF AS I CAN SEE BY THE ACHIEVEMENTS BUT I GOT SO MAD THAT I UNINSTALLED IMMEDIATELY)

I really don't post any reviews because I think it doesn't matter in most games but this is just baffling and I feel like the question "would you recommend this game to other players" can be answered very clearly here. Just don't waste your time, why the hell does this thing have positive reviews when it shouldn't even exist? Do people get crowdfunding from this kind of thing or something? Why can't they release anything complete nowadays...
Also as far as I can tell they were working on this for 4-5 years or more??? If true I have no words...
