I was surprised that this game works pretty well on Linux with Steam Proton. Great game to let those intrusive thoughts win with no consequences.

It seems like Valve has been able to remove bots for quite a while now and has maintained it. The game is now playable, and after many years players can pull off goofy shenanigans without instantly dying to bots. My one wish though is that they revert the band-aid fix that removed Free to Plays from using any form of communication. This really doesn't need to exist anymore, and it's not like the low life bot hoster couldn't buy a panic attack from the Mann Co. Store.
