If you're a Mafia Fan, a few heads up.

Mafia 3, feels wildly different from Mafia 2. Whilst you may no longer be the sluggish boi Vito, You're Clay, the crack head vet with a love for knives.

The Story Pacing is quite lacking and takes a fun documentary story telling approach where you get to relive set pieces through flash backs, outside of those missions sadly. The Very, VERY repetitive mission structure for flipping the city hits you.

The first section I enjoyed clearing out... but once I got further into the game, the reality soured on me and knew alot of the fun was going to be left up to me as the player when it came to tackling the 100s of the same mission types. So if anything, experiement, have fun, and try to approach each senario differently in order to keep things fresh.

The Gunplay, Pretty good. Its satisfying turn a man's knee into dust, and to watch him crumble to the floor clutching at the wound. But outside of the new unique deaths and physics given to enemies, comes a quirk. The AI is either all A. or more I. Sometimes its smart, other times its like you're taking them out back to be put down because they've glitched, ran into a wall, or are frozen in fear.

Sadly Speeding doesn't have a consequence and the Cops are really just there to keep you from turning the whole place into a shooting gallery. You can't even start random fist fights anymore. Whilst the graphics are an improvement, nothing else really gets as much love as the paint if you understand me. Even Car customization is pretty limited. The driving is also a point of contention.

Its a Fun sandbox, but they really dropped the ball making this Open world versus the linear story telling that the previous games excelled at. So be warned.

You are entitled to your opinion. Everyone that bashes you on that fact alone should leave reviewing to literate people with brains. I'm just saying that some of your reasons are far worse that you are describing them. I will not tolerate putting 30fps lock ever. The game looks like shit but it's not a reason I wouldn't playing just like you. Problem is, story is not as half good as in first two and the repetitive gameplay can only murder the rest of my willpower to even finish this game. Anyway, you have a right to review as you please and feel, but please, don't diminish the shit they came up with. It's hurting you, me and everyone that spend money for half assed products. Cheers mate.

Personally this is my opinion and it is that the game is from a different publisher and I feel they did succeed well, its not perfect, mafia II wasn't perfect, I feel they are both solid, good games for I haven't had an issue with either to be frank.

Thanks, honesty is best policy. As for the basic english, I guess I'm lacking in that department dispite these words I'm typing. While I won't discount what you said about reasons, on the other hand when I click the Steam Reviews, the negative ones in fact. All I do get is people saying "Bad PC port, Game breaking bugs, Bad Graphics, Repetitive missions".

I know the review system is sorta broken after it got rehauled, but From 3 pages of comments, my deduction is that alot of the negative reviews are of the Graphics and bug related sorts. Only two I saw and read was bashing the writing. But in regards to writing, If you can do better, by all means go write your own game!

I would like to congratulate you on this review. Its very similar to the one ill be putting very soon. The Game is what you make it and it is fun, yes it is a bit repetitive but what game isn't. I have a mid range rig and have been playing on low to medium settings with no problems at all. No crashing or breaking bugs etc I get a constant 30fps and that's fine. I wonder sometimes if these people that complain about fps ever watch tv or a movie as they are all 30fps too. It's ready staying to annoy me with how much hate games get recently because of stupid people.

Again, great review and finally one that makes sense and is honest :)

You should learn to read basic English. Once you are ready, you can actually read other reviews and see the reasons you gave are not even in majority.
