I had little faith, but Arrowhead seems to be bouncing back. We'll see if this trend continues or if they find some other unimaginable way to drop the ball after winning back some good faith.

The gameplay loop of the boss kills me in 2 hits and I have to hit him 200 times is wholly unsatisfying. Devil May cry is a far better game that what this is going for.

a few hours in and i would say the campaign is a little bit better than garbage. the story is less comprehensible than a souls game and you are given somehow less direction. Exploration is wholly uncompelling and combat is extremely repetitive with basically no deviation in strategy. You get to an area trudge forward killing hordes of the same 2 enemies over and over until you get to a boss. So far no boss has killed me more than once. if you're looking for a compelling solo experience you won't find it here.

I would say If you're looking for an Advance Wars stand in you will be disappointed. This is similar to advance wars in aesthetic only. You play the game usually around the crit mechanic. The commander mechanic is a worse version of Days of Ruin commander unit. If you're really desperate for an advance wars game this might give you some entertainment, other than that steer clear.

New Update and good news the game is still full of cheaters and bots.
