When I came across this game, I was expecting a Pokemon clone; instead, I found a delightful autobattler with creature-capturing elements that is honestly very fun. Also--beautiful art direction. I highly recommend this game, and would really like to see the developers open up the game with a Workshop / UGC elements-- maybe User-created maps for end-game challenges?

Fun game; pretty challenging. Very easy = easy and easy = normal/hard.

You buy this DLC not really for the campaign (which is okay, not very polished which many reviews have noticed, but still fun). You buy this DLC because a lot of the User Generated Content (UGC) requires it, and the UGC can genuinely add hundreds of hours in gametime. Many campaigns are of surprisingly high quality, and if you enjoy 5e combat you'll consider this DLC to be worthwhile.

After update 1.7, I can thoroughly recommend Victoria 3 to most grand strategy enjoyers. Make no mistake--the war system is still terribly underbaked--but the idea is serviceable and I'm not playing Vic 3 to take over the world. (I could do that in EU4 and Vic 2 if I wanted to. Also, regarding Vic 2's combat--I enjoyed the dopamine hit from letting millions of Chinese infantry run into lvl 6 forts, but nobody should pretend that combat in that game was fun.) The new foreign investment and Power Bloc systems are fun to engage with and lobbies help open up diplomacy. Maybe 2 more patches (one for nationalism, giving incentive to have puppets instead of directly taking land for that Great Powers don't dogpile into India and China) and another to work on warfare (especially naval war / general supply mechanics) and this game will be a solid S-.

Fun DnD combat sim. Great with unfinished business.

Incredible, incredible game, absolutely one of the greatest games of all time. Larian has outdone themselves with the detail and beauty in this one. I have a feeling that when the Definitive Edition is out, it'll be even better.

One of my favorite turn-based RPGs probably ever; a storybook-theme infuses every decision you make with gravitas and joy, as if you're unfolding the pages of a childhood fable. Being able to bring over characters from previous campaigns lets you build a legacy that belongs solely to you--my original trio is insanely powerful now, able to deal with most enemies with ease. I really love this game, and I hope it continues to get updates and fan-made quality campaigns for years to come.

One of the best MMORPG in the market. Only FF14 comes close in terms of quality.
