Full Review:
A truly great metroidvania style game that excels in so many aspects. The mix of 2D side-scrolling maps that are connected by larger overhead maps gives a lot of freedom of exploration. The level design for each area is very well done both mechanically and thematically. There is an abundance of things to find as well as secret areas sometimes even within other secret areas. And like a true metroidvania, your first time in an area likely won't be your last as you find more ways to explore and platform.

As you gain more key items that let you explore, the more puzzles will open up to you to solve. You'll encounter many within dungeons and required areas but those are only a fraction of that amount of puzzles that game offers. Some come in the form of environmental puzzles, some are platforming, others are simple minigames.

But the world itself is actually one of the strongest points the game has. It is, again, exploration but instead of power-up and items, you're learning more and more of the lore. I would say you're heavily missing out if you're not talking to each NPC and seeing everything they have to say as the dialogue is extremely strong in this game (some of the strongest I've seen in any games recently). It's witty, charming, funny, and even thought provoking at times.

And as you can already see from the preview images, the game has a very pleasant pixel art style. While, art styles are subjective, I personally really like how the games looks and even has a surprising amount of frames in the animation for a pixel graphics game making everything look very smooth.
