I don't usally write reviews on the basis that i'm not a reliable source of info for these sorts of things, that is, until today!

I have been playing this game since March 13th, 2014 (That's enough time for a child to be born), even backed $100 to the kickstarter. Why? This game is damn fun is why.


Overview:
Town of Salem is a game about lies, deception, and word based accusations. Carefully analyzing, and thinking about not only your own role, but others as well. The game itself runs like the boardgame "Werewolf" or Starcraft 2 Mafia mod, of which it is losely based.

That guy just claim sheriff?
Should I trust him? Should I lynch him? Is he an executioner?
All questions racing through your mind as you read through the chat, picking up clues, and word slips.

I personally fell in love with this tiny game from the start, I play on Team Speak with friends often, backstabbing them and growing to hate them more and more (Dammit Squid, why did you shoot me!!?) Best part in playing with friends is lieing about your role to get them to put their guard down, the imediately killling them.
Note: Dont use TS, Skype, etc. to cheat though, thats strictly against the code of conduct.


Steam or Browserversion?

This seems to be an active topic, and all I can say to this is that you do not need to buy this game on steam.
Buying it only adds $5 worth of Town Points to your account. By buying this game for $5 your not paying for the game, but some bonus townpoints. (Townpoints are the in-game currency)

25 Townpoints can be ottained every day, for your first win.
With additional town points for gaining achivements with your given role.

Do a few classic games, get to know the some of the basic roles, then, if you feel like you want that new character skin or maybe even a pet or two, buy the steam version.


Pros:
-Runs much smoother with less loading times compared to the browser
-$5 worth of town points!
-Steam Achivements!
-Backstabbing is fun!

Cons:
-Uses adobe air...for some odd reason
-Requires a brain, for some that may be a bit hard, I know.


Tl;DR- Buy it for the backstabbing.

Only played 2 games, and may i just say, this is actually pretty fun.

The community on this game fights with giant metal war machines, then goes to the Pub and hangs out like your best friends.
I have no clue how the community in this game is so amazing.

Once there was a little boy named Steven, he grew up in a zombie infested canadian world, where survial was his in his best intrest. But steven fell in love....her name was Sledge Hammer. Sledge and Steven bashed zombie heads together, they ate together, leveled together, and made love. They settled down in a house he had built overlooking the lake and the local military base. Eventually, they had little Sledgehammer-human mutant children, who then conquered all of zombie kind, saving the human race.
