Fun game. Its my go to playing with my brother.

For simplicity sake i'll be abbreviating this game to "HAND".

HAND is a rogue-lite action game where you play as death, a charming overworked boss who is supported by the lovable pumpkin boy intern, as well as a larger crew of employees who are happy to see death out of the office again. Your task being to take down the "sorrows". Gameplay feels VERY hollow-knight, abit with less head bouncing. The dash basically being a shadow dash on its own. And that being a good thing, after a few hits an enemy will be stunned, allowing you time to hit them with a big spell or continue comboing. Health however is hard to come by, and you are advised against taking hits as each hit decreases your max hp for that run, causing you to rely on random drops to increase the max hp back up.

In HAND, Each run is separated into a branching path of levels that you can choose, do you go to the storage unit and look for gear, or do you go to a floor with more healing? Each level in the run takes about 2 minutes to clear, maybe more, maybe less, it entirely depends on the procedural generation. Meaning you can usually reach the boss of the floor by 10-15mins, which ends up making the runtime fairly short compared to something like dead cells, risk of rain, or gunfire reborn.

Visually the game could stand to have a little more than grayish tones for the background, but the animation quality, cut-scenes and character expression are just gorgeous, easily in my top 10 for indie games in that department.

So far I'd give the game a solid 9/10, and now i'm going to continue playing for the rest of the day.

I have 100% this game 7 times. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

One of the best RPG's that has ever exsisted.

Honestly, one of the best RPG's I have ever played. Good guy Larian also gave the classic edition to anyone with the enhanced edition, and vice versa, if you already bought classic, you got enhanced for free. I'm currently doing my third run, this time in Honor Mode. Best singleplayer/co-op RPG on the market right now, at least until divinity 2.

Enjoy an update once a year, that only serves to ruin the game even more.
When this game was first released it was a marvel. wonderful creativiity, gear, and content, with a large selctions of mods to boot. Now it's a relic of the past, and a disappointing and getting worse with every update. Survial aspects like heat/cold were removed or lessened, open ended exploration was replaced by linier questing, and the developers as far as I know are nowhere to be found. I don't recommend anyone buy this game. Go get Tarrarria instead.

I played .5 hours of this game on a server with nobody but me and a few friends. Fun times.
