Long story short, a recurring subscription I remembered cancelling still managed to get charged to my account. Steam support, understandably, can't do anything about it so I got a link to ESO support, who says they can't do anything and send me back to Steam support and now I'm in a game of support ping pong over a charge that shouldn't have happened, in a game I haven't played in 2 months, that I no longer have any desire to play now, in the near/far future or ever again given current events.

So I guess I'm out $150 bucks and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ start to my new year. Thanks Games Industry!

I'm gonna give this a try and see how it is.

What do you mean I've been playing for 7 hours? I just sat down!

Arrowhead has finally turned around somewhat still has it's issues but the game is slowly becoming fun again.

It's a 'Bethesda' game. A decent one too, no GotY, but a decent game.

Anyone who expected more didn't learn their lesson from F76. People need to learn to take anything they say with a grain of salt and not get swept up in all the hype they deliver in their next title, otherwise you're just gonna be disappointed when it too doesn't live up to the hype.

Would love to try the DLC... sadly despite spending my money I supposedly don't own it... Thanks Paradox!

there are two main things I must say about this game that sway my decision of this review, but there is one bad thing that really must be addressed when it comes to the AI in this game. We will start with the good things. :)

1. Great Time Waster (In a good way) - I have spent a few good hours of my life playing this game and to be honest if someone asked me if they should buy it, I would grab them by the collar of their shirt and ask really loudly, "WHY THE HELL HAVEN'T YOU BOUGHT THIS YET?!?" before quickly dragging them to their computer to buy the game. Mainly I remember sitting at home waiting for my friends to show up which wasn't for another three hours, so I decided I would play Banished until they got there, not four hours later I finally noticed my friends had been sitting in my living room downstairs for an hour waiting for me. So yes if you need to pass time quickly get this game, just be sure to set and alarm if your like me and lose track of time.

2. A Glorious Challenge - I can't stress how much of a challenge this game can be even on easy if you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ seed you will have your hands full trying to keep all your settlers from dying of starvation, hypothermia, or just plain sadness. But starvation leads me to the one issue I have with this game.

THE ONLY CON IN MY OPINION IS THAT THE AI ARE A BUNCH OF RESOURCE HOARDING BASTARDS!
I have had multiple games fail due to one family of settlers taking 75% of all the food I had for themselves leaving the other 85% of my population to fight over the reamaining 25%. Frankly this has stopped me from playing this great game and it really peeves me that this one thing with the AI is what kills the game for me. If I had the time or capacity to mod this game, it would be a rationing mod so I can set up what people take from the barns I would honestly have no bad things to say about this game.
