I think some of the endings should have toned back on the humor more. Kayli Mills is an incredible actress and the way she voices Jecka's fear is chilling, but it being followed directly by "im not racist btw" ruins both lines.
the CG's are wonderful, they make up for the short length of the story.

all the executions feel the same
parrying and dodging is unresponsive
second highest difficulty (veteran) is unplayable solo. everything does a lot of damage and you do no damage yourself. AI only exist to pick you back up and dont do much else
lowest difficulty a full heavy combo kills a hive warrior
weapons feel terrible. the recoil is intense, spread is unforgiving, and they dont do much damage to anything other than gaunts
tervigon attacks were stun locking me, and the visual effects are really intense. hopefully theres a setting to dial that down but it really hurt my eyes
the blood is comical in a bad way, its all the same and its just dark red syrup that just falls like a curtain rather than splashing. the blood is very close in color and texture to the muscles of enemies and it makes it exhausting to focus on

much the only thing that its got going for it is that has no dlc

extremely poor proximity voice chat, too quiet to hear friends on the other side of the same room
with too high of dpi you can see your body while turning around
really disorientating to watch your own content while trying to talk to anyone, youre basically stuck there not laughing or talking about/at something that is funny

if these things can be addressed, this would be a very good party game, but I will not be playing again. its just not fun
