If you let yourself become immersed in this game it will deliver for you time and time again. Its characters have goals and feelings. Its world is compelling and unique. Sleeper makes you question what it means to be human in the way Sci-Fi should, and it makes you question your decisions the way a good RPG must. The visual style and soundtrack are icing on the cake.

Grounded is one of the most unique survival games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. It is full of incredible moments and ideas. The simple concept of "what if you were small and had to survive in your backyard" is executed to near perfection. Its humor is appealing. Its survival systems are fun and fair. Exploration strikes the perfect balance between rewarding and scary. There's so much to love about this game. An all-timer for me.

An incredibly unique experience that has something for everybody. There are some quality of life features that have been (I assume) intentionally left out to emulate the retro vibe, which I don't love, but the package is just so cool regardless

A great metroidvania. Probably the best I've played since Ori 2.

Part autobattler, part deckbuilder. Has immense deckbuilding variety in its faction combos and champion selections. The art direction can be a little offputing but otherwise a very good game. Honestly underrated.

Was 50% of my playtime spent walking? Yes.
Are the puzzles and message of the game compelling enough for me to recommend it anyway? Also yes.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is exactly the type of metroidvania one should expect in a post-Hollow Knight world. Everything here improves on the first game while simultaneously bringing the series up to a modern standard. This game is damn near perfect.

Early Access Review
While providing a fun distraction, Soulstone Survivors fails to reproduce the charm, complexity, and replayability of Vampire Survivors, the game it desperately wishes to emulate. Additionally, it manages to do all of this while charging double the price.
