Happy life, I am completely entombed in a cocoon of bliss playing this blessed piece of software, I genuinely cannot feel any better about my life at this very point in time.

Relic has made something that transcends all language barriers, all spiritual blockades. This game has made me question the deepest thoughts I've ever had, made me feel in ways I've never felt before.

Flowing water will cut through rock, imperceptibly slow over time, but it will cut through regardless. I have achieved a level of mental fluidity held only by Shaolin monks, I have enjoyed playing this game.

You either spend countless hours researching your new build idea and execute it flawlessly or you spend the entirety of your run trying to justify your horrible mistake, scratching at the walls in a schizo fueled rage.
(You can get away with a mistake or two on normal anyway.)

You can find some very good builds to get you started on the forum, I highly recommend choosing one that appeals to you and if you don't immediately click with your build just remember some of them take a while to get good.

Combat is very fun* and it tests your knowledge of the game's mechanics frequently. (Positioning is crucial for certain builds.)

*(It's fun in the sense that you're either the block of cheese or the cheese grater, there is no in between.)

Masterpiece game, I love it.

After finishing the story on True (difficulty) I can safely say that this is most definitely an improvement in every aspect over IV1 (Also finished IV1 on True so that's how I'm comparing the two). All the good parts of IV1 were taken and turned into something fresh.

Maps are less linear, social stealth is an amazing addition that adds replay value and variety to the levels it is in.

Guns feel just as good as they did in IV1 if not better thanks to the new weapon customisation mechanic that allows you to fine-tune your preferred gun for the situation at hand. Guns are loud, but you can definitely make them quieter and there are some stealth-centric weapons that I absolutely won't spoil because they feel amazing to use.

Stealth is hard and that's good, AI is smart and will realistically react to your actions (at least on True or above difficulties, I do recommend playing on True at the very least as the satisfaction you get from ghosting a level is immense. The challenge never feels "unfair" you just have to figure out what works and what doesn't and don't be afraid to go fast.)

If IV1 was a 9/10 then IV2 is most definitely a 10/10, it's been a while since a good stealth game has come around and this is definitely one of them.

For the longest time I tried playing Highfleet like a traditional "stealth" game. (Divide your forces, keep your radar signature low, all that stuff) then I realised that all you really need is one Lightning and a bit of stimulants.

10/10 would optimise my crew's slavery racket again.

Goes unreasonably hard. First game was a banger and from what I've seen in this prologue it's only getting better. Stay based.
