Magnesium alloys should not be stored with flammable materials.
All parts should remain in its delivery packaging as long as is practicable.
Materials in long lengths (extrusions, tubes, bars etc) should be stored
vertically or well supported along their length thereby reducing the risk of
bowing and handling damage.
All pipe and hose assemblies should be stored with their ends blanked to
prevent ingress of dirt. Hoses should be unrolled.
Tyres should be stored vertically in special racks embodying tubes that
ensure each tyre is supported at two points, reducing distortion to a
minimum. They should be rotated every two or three months and any
delivery wrapping should be kept in place.
