The first 1/3 of the game is great. Great atmosphere making the game scary but somewhere along the way the devs forgot it's a horror game and made a snoozefest instead. There is a lot of filler content, which is sad. It's not fun to walk down a hallway for minutes where nothing happens. Especially the story building and outer space segments are painfully long, where the same information could have been provided with a much shorter cutscene or just cut all of the useless walking around in the middle of nowhere. Even in the 'intense' areas it becomes somewhat boring just because the alien chills in the vents and only comes out when you sprint, so you have to refrain from sprinting, so it doesn't hear you and there is nothing else to alert it a lot of the time. The weapons and tools make encounters too easy most of the time. Other times there are scripted events which kill you if you don't have the right weapon equiped on accident or already know what's about to happen ahead of time. This is insanely frustrating because your life is in the hands of RNG and it doesn't feel deserved, when you die because of it.

Doom Eternal is better but both are worth playing. I'd recommend going with this game first if you want to play both though

Can make a wand so powerful it freezes the game for several second per click. Will likely kill yourself in the process... You'll know in 10 seconds :)

Can first time a boss but will get mauled to death by a pack of dogs.
Each death is a skill issue 10/10

Would smash Lissandra again 10/10

Entire crew got spawnkilled by 2 bee hives before the ship landed. Great game

Just finished my first playthrough and I have to say:
This game is magnificent! The characters, choices, possible builds. I can't even grasp the amount of content I've missed, the companion interactions, dialogues and quests alone... Still, everything that happened felt authentic and fleshed out. I liked some characters, disliked others but each but everyone of them was unique with their own personality, goals and flaws, even the seemingly unimportant side characters. The voice acting is great, which pushes the story to another level than it already is on it's own. I could probably write a book about every little or big thing I enjoyed about this game but I'll stop here.

However I do have some critique, these may or may not be very personal:
The top down camera was weird for me to control at times. Auto pathing could use improvements and Act 3 was very confusing, had to look up many guides on how to progress the main story (most likely because I was too lazy to actually read most of the books and letters)

I'll definitely play this game again, choose different companions, people to trust, kill and/or betray. Maybe even roleplay together with a group of friends. Most likely as a crazy maniac who'll slaughter everyone and everything he comes across and grasp for every bit of power he can lay his hands on, pursuing godhood to crush the vermin beneath his feet. I'll make sure Orin seems like a reasonable person compared to my tav :)
