Iron Brigade plays similar to Dungeon Defenders, but without the endless grind. Survival mode's 3 maps are the heart of the end-game. Once you learn how to solo survival (you need piercing sniper turrets from swamp survival and super shredder machine guns from cathedral map for your first solo completions), the insanity of mastering survival while giving yourself ridiculous handicaps becomes the driving force of playing this game. I am disappointed there's no weekly leaderboard like there is on the xbox 360 version, but I'm still fascinated with improving my gameplay (like being in position on waves 14-17 really matter). If the player base were larger, this game would be incredible for co-op, as the difficulty is scaled to the amount of players. A four-player match is nothing like a solo run....everyone needs to be on their toes and know how to cooperate and communicate. Overall, the game's art style and the story's writing for the plot were very well done. If you like shooting stuff and setting up defences then get this game on sale. I've beaten Swamp and Settlement literally hundreds of times but its still fun figuring out the little tricks of where to build outside the map and/or putting emplacements in places where burst transmitters or knobs won't break them.
