Great so far. The technical bugs and hurdles are normal for day one launches. Nothing massively game breaking in my short time playing so far. Will update as time goes on. Did experience a vulkan bug when trying to initially launch, but that was partly my fault; there were leftover files from my old AMD GPU. If you have an NVIDIA GPU and had an AMD previously, the file amd-vulkan64.json may give you problems. Delete it or rename it, and that should fix your errors.

So far, game is beautiful. Fixed a lot of the issues and it looks like Egosoft did a good job recapturing that X3 spirit.

Great potential and the devs seem to be communicative and quick with updates. :)

Hey. I don't really review too much, but I felt like this deserved one. It definitely should have some more recognition. I've not really seen this level in quality in an EA game for a while. Honestly, it feels like a fairly complete game as is. Gigantic universe, AI ships, factions, reputation system, and an excellent ship editor. Very worth the 18$.

Really poorly optimized. Burned again by a preorder. Lore is nice, but it's incredibly shallow. Nearly unplayable, and I have a rig that can play most modern titles at 60fps. Just..isn't fun.

Great foundation, lots of work to do, but it's shaping up to be a pretty solid WH40k shooter.

Terrible implementation, terrible support by the developers. I originally kickstarted this way back when, and was promised (lol) a beta by October of that year. After countless ♥♥♥♥♥♥, tiny implemental updates, I no longer even care about the heap of crushed potential this game is. Too bad.

Developers, please don't provide false promises. Castle Story got a remarkable 700k+ from their kickstarter, and instead of delivering a quality, on time game, they provided several years of minor updates and half-abandoned features, all the while teasing things that should have been in game from very early on as new features.

Lesson learned - don't back shoddy, un-tested developers new games on kickstarter. :/

Terrible. Unrealistic. Really made me miss Men of War Assault Squad 2 when I tried it out for the first time. The original CoH was fine, but this one is rife with dlc vomit and poor gameplay. Sorry, if I have two squads fighting within 5 feet of eachother, I bet the fight would be over faster than the 1 min 30 seconds it took mine. Health bars for entire squads? Lame. Inability to move individual soldiers? Lame.

The only positive - I liked some of their defensive structures. Otherwise..

Sucks. Don't get it.

Buy Men of War series, and enjoy your life a little more. :)
