I don't understand the hate for this game. It's Fallout but better. Better path-finding, more quests, larger map, some QoL improvements. Play it with the Restoration Project mod though. This also provides more value to the game. Including being able to run the game in 1080p without making everything super small.

NGL, it's kinda nice to just sit back, relax, and only use my right hand for something actually productive.

Best DLC ever. I got to leave a review before the content even existed.

Biggest issues I have are the melee / combat systems. You will die a lot (even on minimal security) not because of a skill gap, but because the combat mechanics just don't really work if there is any situation beyond a 1v3. It does get easier though as you gain more weapons / upgrades and just get used to the combat system (Minus the bosses, you still die a lot against them because they are bullet spunges).

Story is very lackluster. I didn't start to get invested until the final 3-hours of gameplay. Also, Dead Space 3 level cliffhanger at the end of the game. (I was very disappointed during the end-game credits)

GRAPHICS / PERFORMANCE

After the patch late Friday, I had relatively stable FPS on Medium preset, and no Ray Tracing. HOWEVER, I still had massive stutters and frame drops as low as 2 FPS. Check my profile for PC specifications. My hardware is above the recommended on the games store page.

BUYER BEWARE

This is a linear "action sci-fi horror" game/cinematic experience. IT IS NOT DEAD SPACE!

Buy it on-sale is my recommendation after paying 70 USD $$$.

Also, may want to wait until they fix the stuttering issues more, and clean up some graphical bugs I saw as well / other glitches (randomly disappearing enemies, the save system issue, et cetera...)
