The difficulty in this game makes no sense. Can't even access most of the new content since they increased difficulty and most of the challenges are really dumb. The game doesn't have enough content to be worth it.

Not sure why it has so many positive reviews. I think this game needs a lot more polish. Maybe it'll be worth it when the game is completed, but otherwise I'm not a fan. The current vampire survivor type game genre has a lot of good games already, this one is just not ready yet.

*EDIT: Re-bought the game give it another chance. They fixed major crashing issues by selecting the setting "RUN OPEN GL" That fixed one of the biggest problems I had when I first tried it. The game is still bare bones, but I've been having a lot of fun. The game is at the moment way too grindy, but the progression system seems neat. Hopefully they have settings in the future to speed up the gameplay loop.

Honestly, this game plays more like an actual battlefield than any battle field game has ever done it. While I think the game is really fun, there is one MAJOR CON; it feels a little too grindy to unlock all the weapons/attachments. It'll take a major time commitment to unlock all the weapons/attachments. Hopefully that gets addressed.

Speaking of attachments, there's so much weapon customization. You can have a main sight, top sight, and canted sights which is really cool. Along with a whole slew of other attachments.

*WARNING for new players, while it's tempted to play 254 player lobbies, you will die a lot. And while it's fun, it's also harder to learn the game. I highly recommend playing 32 v 32 or 64 v 64 mostly until you learn the controls.

Highly recommend you rebind your keys and change game play settings. There's a lot of options. Turn off chat. I don't think anyone reads that, use your headset.

I don't even play this game, but this is actually worse than Rocket League! Greedy developers!

This game is like the love child of Raft + Factorio + Rimworld! Highly addictive game play loop. You basically start on a dock and collect resources&expand, then eventually you accept colonists and you give them orders/set priorities for them. Eventually you realize the wonders of automation and you get yourself some factories set up.

The game is fully playable and complete for an early access, all that is left is some polish. In that regards the developer is one of the most responsive developers I've ever come across. I asked him on discord to give me more cranes, then the next morning I wake up and he's already launched an update to the game giving me more cranes. How freaking cool is that?

Recommendation if you buy the game, don't expand too fast. Give your settlers priorities/jobs as you accept them in the early game. This will help you grow and set you up for success. Rapid expansion without a plan will lead to failure. The game is pretty relaxing at times, but can be frustrating trying to figure out how to get the AI to work for you. But once you understand how they work, it becomes easier to deal with them. The discord is very active if you have questions or suggestions. The developer seems pretty open to hearing suggestions. The game is done, just needs that extra bit of love.

Honestly, I find this game more enjoyable than Vampire Survivors/Brotato and other games of this genre. There is a lot of potential to far exceed those games. The biggest problem is that early game, this game is TOO hard and a little grindy. It'll take some time to fully kit out your character, and after that it becomes more enjoyable. Even late game the grind feels like too much so I hope that is addressed soon.

The game is finally fully released, and I would argue that this is probably a better vampire survivors game than actual vampire survivors. The team behind Scarlet Tower did a good job of listening to the community feedback and completing the game. Still priced fairly as well!

This game is amazing! If you like choose your own adventure stories, this is pretty much the ultimate choose your own kingdom management game. The solo developer wrote over 624,000 lines of code over 8 years before finishing the game. The amount of depth in the game is crazy. This is the perfect relaxing casual game where you can save at any time, do whatever you want to do. Highly recommend checking out the developers "getting" started video on YouTube. Honestly surprised I hadn't heard of this game before and this game is severely underrated!

I posted on their discord about a bug I was having in the game, and the Developer fixed the bug and posted a hotfix in less than 1 hour. That is unbelievable. While the game is still pretty early in the development, I'm having fun regardless. If you enjoy any kind of micro-managing game, this game is pretty fun.

What an absolutely beautiful soundtrack! The main theme gives me so much nostalgia.
