This game is a great well-rounded platformer that has tight controls for precision moves and unique mechanics to keep the experience interesting the whole way through. There were some frustrating parts that made me put the controller down for a break, but I was always able to come back and overcome the challenges with persistence. The level design gets tough, but not soul crushing kaizo hard, and the option to switch out to a more casual mode is a welcome one. The story, art, and music all show a steady high standard of quality, it all left me very satisfied.

A deeply satisfying endurance battle through an onslaught of various baddies and bosses. Keeps you coming back to unlock new abilities and try new combinations. Looking forward to see new developments but the existing game is already a well built with several areas and challenges.

If you like metroidvania games, this is for you. If you hate them, this is not for you.

I've been playing Bejeweled ever since it's first incarnation. The simple mechanics of matching the gems is a very engaging experience that works on many levels. In this version they have expanded vastly by plugging the basic premise into different game modes. I spend most of my time in classic mode, which too has seen several improvements. Whether for just a few minutes as a time killer, or for a full gaming session of an hour or two this game still works to keep me occupied.
