How hard is it for you disgusting ♥♥♥♥♥ to treat people decently instead of refusing to pay them, giving them ungodly deadlines, and ruining their reputation in the process? If Marty treats contract workers like ♥♥♥♥, I don't even want to imagine how he treats his own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ employees.

To ANYONE who wants to rebuy Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, or any ID Software game. Don't. Just pirate it. The games are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, and everyone a part of the company deserves the recognition for creating such a masterpiece, but Marty Stratton doesn't deserve ♥♥♥♥. All I hope is the developers who worked on this weren't treated with the same amount of egotism, but knowing the trend of AAA companies, they definitely are.

Final Fantasy 15 honestly has one of the most realistic stories that I've ever experienced in a video game. When I say realistic, I mean that character interactions and reactions are uncanny.

For those who have absolutely no inclination about Final Fantasy 15, I'll give you a summary:

The game begins with a quartet, Noctis, Ignis, Prompto, and Gladiolus pushing their car to the nearest outpost. You're immediately greeted with dialogue between the characters. Gladiolus is complaining about how the others don't seem to be putting much effort in pushing the car (he's a really buff guy) and you can't help but chuckle as the quartet tease each other over something rather stupid. Despite these guys being in their 20's they're very reminiscent of a group of teenagers with Ignis being the most mature and collected of them all (despite this he still comes up with horrible puns and will have moments of immaturity). I won't lie. I was impressed by the first few minutes, thinking that this dialogue is a one off thing or exclusive to more cinematic moments. Boy was I wrong. While you're going around questing (I highly recommend you do side quests, they hold so many gems) the quartet will often make horrible puns, complain if you accidentally swing at them during fights, bug you for favors (Prompto requests photos, Ignis will occasionally ask you to help prep food, and Gladiolus asks you to exercise or do a favour for his little sister). I heavily praise the dialogue and character development, the voice actors do an absurdly amazing job portraying their characters. The few times the slip out of their usual selves, normally during intense moments, it's often uncomfortable because it's like seeing a friend who's normally happy and cheery become depressed. I recommend really getting emotionally invested in the characters, even if you're usually someone who prefers gameplay over story.

Next, I'll try my best to explain the gameplay. I'm not the greatest at it:

If you're a Final Fantasy fan or someone who's seen Final Fantasy gameplay but never actually played the game and expects the typical "turn based" style. Well, that's gone in Final Fantasy 15. Instead, you get a third-person free roam experience. If you're really really against that free roam, then this game might not be for you. But if you're interested or willing to try it, then go ahead. The combat doesn't have any overly complex combos, it's simplistic but has room for complexity. You can acquire multiple weapons for each character and accessories that's shared across your characters (accessories have their own stats depending on which ones you have). There's this sort of upgrade tree system that will make your party more efficient and stronger depending on what you upgrade. There is a "Wait Mode" which from what I understand is a different way to play the game, but I never used it, so I can't provide much information on it. I would speak more on the gameplay, but there are some gameplay elements that can spoil the main game and I try to avoid spoilers as much as possible.

The main story itself isn't extremely long (around 20 hours, maybe longer), but what makes the game long is doing side quests. It took me around 100 hours to complete the game and I didn't even finish up all of the side quests. I should quickly mention, once you get into the later stages of the game, you do have the ability to do this sort of "time travelling" mechanic where you can go back and do side quests on the main island that you explore. Even after you complete the game, you can still return to your save and do side quests. I believe there are some additional unlocks that you receive when returning to your save and to the main island. Oh, and those 100 hours are only from the main game. There's four DLCs that I have yet to play which will no doubt increase my hours.

One quick criticism that I do have for this game has to do with Noctis and his lover. For anyone who doesn't want spoilers, avoid the next paragraph and then continue reading:

As seen above, I did praise this game for its character development. However, one thing that slightly bothered me was Noctis and his lover, Lunafreya. I could not attach myself to Lunafreya. She probably is the most unrealistic in terms of characters out of everyone. Whenever anything would happen to her, I didn't feel bad for HER as a character. I felt bad for Noctis because he was going through this emotional turmoil. Not to mention, something about her personality was a bit undesirable. She's not a bad character by any means, but this game does NOT give you any time to really become attached to her character. That's really the only thing that bothered me the most during this game.

There is one warning that I will put out there. If you're prone to extreme emotional reactions, then you might want to avoid this game. Not because this game is bad by any means, but this game has some rather intense moments and I won't lie. I balled my eyes out. This game WILL hurt you emotionally. I cried for about half an hour maybe more uncontrollably because of this game.

I still highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to try it out.

I was fairly excited for this game, and honestly, it wasn't too bad. I never actually got the chance to play the original games, so my opinion might be a bit biased. I thought the game was pretty fun, but decently short (I completed the game in about 8 hours which includes picking up every item, killing all the monsters, dying 9 times, and saving around 40). I played the RE:2 remake and honestly expected it to be similar to that, but was a bit disappointed. It's a lot more action oriented which I have no issues with whatsoever, I actually enjoy the combat quite a lot. However, Nemesis doesn't pursue you a lot in this game if at all. In RE:2, the Tyrant pursued you like crazy, coming to you if you made too much noise. This wasn't really the case with Nemesis. He's the equivalent of Burkin in the RE:2 remake, just there as a boss (though Burkin was a lot more exciting). Standard wasn't very difficult compared to RE:2 remake's standard difficulty (which, in my opinion, as significantly more difficult). Oh, and there's no "A and B" campaigns, which I didn't completely expect, but I mention it because it would've racked up my hours more if there was "A and B" campaigns.

The only reason I'd recommend this is because it is a fun game, I have yet to get to the multiplayer, so I can't make an opinion on that yet, but I'd say the base game is worth about 20 - 25 bucks. So I'd recommend waiting for a sale unless you don't mind spending 60 (or 80 in Canada) bucks on this game for only about 8 hours of gameplay (if you take your time).

I do think a lot more should've been added both gameplay and story wise. From what I've heard, a lot of things were not included in the remake that was in the original game. I don't know the reasoning behind it if it's funding related, being rushed, or what. But regardless, it's fun, but not worth the price.

At this time, which is 11:28am on the 2nd of November 2019, I have 3 hours in Hollow Knight. So far, the game has put me through a lot. Cute little creatures who end up trying to kill me, and this lovely worm man who wants his children back. I highly recommend this game if you want a cutesy game with an in depth story and some dark secrets.
