I've played the first Battlefront that EA made and this is a lot better.
For starters the game has a lot of content from different era's of star wars.
The game also handles heroes a lot better then in the first one, in the first game you would get a hero if you grabbed a random hero token somewhere on the map. In this game to get a hero you really need to go out and help your team with objectives and generally just play the game to get them.
All the dlc's for this game were free releases for the whole community, so everyone has the same content and the game isn't split into those who bought the dlc and those who did not.

I find it a fun game to hop into from time to time, i would recommend it.
