I enjoyed the new civilizations and new game modes, mainly Secret Societies and Barbarians. If you enjoy Civ and want more, this is a good purchase, especially on sale.

This was the first Civilization game I've played and the only strategy game I ever really delved into. If you enjoy turn-based strategy games, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

While the game does have its flaws, if you enjoyed the first one, you're more than likely to enjoy this one as well. Even though I received my copy for free, I did purchase it for a friend of mine who's also enjoying it.

I think the game is great despite some of the balancing issues, which Gearbox has said they're currently working on. The story is fun, the dialog hilarious for the most part, and the characters are just plain crazy. If you don't expect Borderlands 2 or League of Legends, you'll enjoy this game. Don't let the comparison to Overwatch fool you, these two are very different games. Grab it during a sale if you're worried about whether or not you'll enjoy it and don't worry about the marketplace because it only has cosmetic items for sale and will not affect gameplay in anyway. As for the "low" PC population, I rarely wait more than five minutes for a match. If it goes close to that long, I'll requeue and quickly find a match. If you enjoy GBX's sense of humor and want to try something different, you can't go wrong with Battleborn.

It's like Left for Dead 2 with maces and crossbows instead of .45 Glocks and baseball bats. Like L4D2, the AI bots aren't the best in the world and it's much easier to play with a friend or three because they tend to focus on things they shouldn't, like enemies behind you when there's an Ogre in your face. It is possible to play with a full bot team, but be prepared to basically babysit them as you go through a map completing objectives. Unlike L4D2, you can upgrade your equipment between missions and even swap them out for new items. Or, if you really don't want a particular piece, you can smelt it down into upgrade crystals at the forge, which you can use towards getting a better item. Also, unlike L4D2, there are five characters, each with their own play style. Are you a sword and flintlock pistol type of man? Grab the Witchhunter. Do you like Dwarves and want to bash everything with your shield or a very large hammer? Grab the Holdseeker. Want to burn everything in your path? Grab the Bright Wizard. Like L4D2, the characters will talk to each other during a mission and will comment on their skill (or lack thereof). Also, like L4D2, the maps can get a bit repetitive, especially when it comes to gathering up enough crystals for better loot. Hopefully Fat Shark will address this in future DLC. I certainly recommend it for the asking price because you'll easily get 40+ hours of gameplay out of it and it's half of what most AAA games run when they're released. If you're worried about the investment, just wait for a Steam sale and grab it then, you won't be disappointed.

Torchlight II reminds me a bit of Diablo 2 in a good way: the game is fun, easy to pick up and very addicting. If you enjoyed D2, you'll enjoy TL 2.
