Each Scam is unique, but this is a rule that eliminates 99% of scammers. CHECK THEIR INVENTORY, If its Private or near empty, dont trust em with ANYTHING! Now here's some case by case

1. Always check their inv, if its private, be careful and dont do anything dumb. If it has almost nothing and they want to cash trade, ONLY do it on marketplace, and check the bot's profile before you send it over

2. Steam/Valve Employees and Admins will NEVER ask you to verify items, or even talk to you through chat, if a real admin is contacting you, you'll get a red alert on your profile.

3. Dont do cash trades outside of marketplace unless you know them personally. Unless they go first with bitcoin.

4. Be aware of the Switch Scam or hidden items. ALWAYS double check the trade when accepting it on mobile auth

5. The OPSkins Scam. OPSkins is a real and legit website, however scammers send you an offer claiming to be the bot, and then run wih your items. Check the bot, or just tell them to use marketplace.

6. Nobody is an alt, if they are, they'll have zero problems with you telling them just to do the trade without this middleman or opskins ♥♥♥♥. They completely understand if theyre an actual alt

7. Just check their inventory, if they can buy your items, go with the trade, if their inv is empty or private, dont trust them with anything.
