Waynersaurus closest relatives are grouped within the subfamily Bitchchasaurus (formerly thought to be grouped in the eponymous Pussaurinae). They are the bottom of the food chain being hunted and picked on by most other dinosaurs. With not being great at running most of them have gone extinct. They had to group up with more alpha dinosaurs pleasing them any way they could. Remains thought to belong to Waynersaurus were first discovered during a 2018-2022 expedition to the Republic of Dragons led by Michigan paleontologist Jc (MrJuicy).
