Probably the best most unique battle royale on the market with a great aesthetic. Totally worth the buy if you like the concept of the genre but are tired of the typical formula.

Much cleaner that its mod counterpart, has a few bugs but that's mainly because Valve rushed it out as fast as possible. Definitely worth trying out to see if this new genre/sub-genre is your kind of thing.

Hearts of Iron 4... where to start...

AI:

Many people seem to think that the AI is a deal breaker, and that it completely ♥♥♥♥♥ up the game. Yes, it sucks, pretty bad infact. But, for beginners to the series it works well enough that it is pretty easy to learn. That being said, once you put in 50 plus hours and learn most of the game the AI (front lines and such) becomes a big fat pain in the ass. I wont get in to specific reasons why its so bad, but I tend to get over the fact that it sucks now that I mostly command units by hand anyway. I am REALLY hoping that the new DLC fixes the problem with the blitz commands and stuff because commanding 250+ divisions by hand over 4 or more fronts becomes very tedious.

Longevity:

Now this is a problem that I see most negative reviews revolve around. Players with around 200+ hours start leaving reviews saying "This game got so stale after 200 hours, really dissapointed in the devs." or, "Seemed good for the first hundred hours but fell off really fast 3/10." This is where I strongly dissagree. You can play about 10 single player games of HOI before it might get a bit boring. But, I find that the beauty of this game lives within the multiplayer and mod aspect. 75% of my hours in game have come from multiplayer alone, and I would say 50% consist of multiplayer mods. Paradox did a great job of making it easy to play mods in multiplayer. I mean, what is more fun than taking over the world as the Congo and Nigeria after the European powers are rattled from the Alliance losing? Overall, I see very few reasons to give this game a bad review.

Conclusion:

To me, HOI 4 is the epitemy of war strategy games, and it will always have a special place in my heart (of iron).

This is a really good game, but if you are still deciding weather to buy it or not i would wait untill it goes on sale closer to christmas time.

BEST GAME EVER CREATED

Good game but before you buy it keep in mind it IS early access so there will be problems. Also if you are going to buy this game make sure you have one heck of a computer/graphics card, because i have a good grapichs card and i have to run the game on lowest settings and still have lag aswell as that i cant even see anything! But the game has a great concept and if you dont mind any of the things i just metioned than you will love this game! Note that it can be very annoying to find items because zombies NEVER DIE in the game it seems like, even if you have a melee wepon! so the game does have its problems but it is OK
