This game is great. Be prepared to get hooked for at least 20 hours. The writing will pull you into the story and make you care about the characters. You will feel elated at the good endings, and misery at the bad.
If you are unsure, play the demo. It is the first couple of chapters of the game and gives you enough of a taste to tell if you'll like it or not.

I'm not normally one to write reviews, or even play very many indie games. However this game has had me hooked since my friend introduced it to me. The atmosphere of the game is the most impressive, with the music, art-style and story all coming together to create something amazing.
I think everyone should play the demo, and I reckon most people who do will want to play the whole thing.
Amazing game, 10/10, I wish more were made like this

Early Access Review
A pretty good game that has had me hooked. I was a huge fan of the original mount and blade and this is a good 'modern' version.
Overall I would recommend it at it's current state;
however there are some things that will frustrate you. The quests are boring crap, literally 'talk to ten lords' 'conquer half the map' in that order. The combat, while extremely nice, is much more difficult (while also being easier in certain ways. I win more battles that are even, but lose more uneven battles compared to warband, and horseback weapon reach seems much smaller). The last point is it is a buggy mess. Some attacks go through shields, which happens to me about twice an hour. Many things I'm not sure if they are a bug or feature, eg I can't play games in taverns, but can against lords. The map flashes white every now and then.
There is also the issue of running out of money, but this has been an issue in the previous games. At times you will become very frustrated, especially when you bet your last money on a tournament only to lose in the final round because an attack went through your shield.
There are many hidden features, which is annoying because I don't want to have to do hours of research to find out I can aim a trebuchet.

I'm very negative because I believe this game can be a masterpiece. I feel like it probably needed more development time, but after the time already, they wanted to please fans.
If these issues get fixed, this game would be a 10/10, but as it stands, I'd say it still rates 8.5/10 for at least 50 hours if you enjoyed the previous games.
