I grew up playing this on my PS2 and it's really neat to see it brought back. The game runs flawlessly on modern hardware, buttery smooth. Night Dive Studios did a great job with yet another old school classic. While I respect the payment to homage, I would have loved to see a more modern take and true remaster given the opportunity they had with this reboot.

Good god, this is the best game I've played in years. Yes there are bugs and yes the performance is spotty, but the devs that are producing this game in an ACTIVE WAR-FIELD and are pumping out quality fixes since release. Early adoption of this game is for the PC enthusiasts. Give this title a couple more months of brew time and you'll experience a truly narrative driven experience filled with plenty of puzzle solving, mutant killing and optional questing. *I voted this for GOTY*

This game sets the bar for AAA games releasing in 2023. It was nearly perfect in every way. From the visuals, to audio to environment and combat, the entire game felt fluid, responsive and very well done.
If you've never played Dead Space before and like a good scare, you're in for a treat!
Highly recommended.

Cons- My 2080ti overclocked on water could not handle above 60fps at 2k resolution with graphics set to ultra and ray tracing turned off. That's with a 13900k and 64gb DDR5 backing it up. Game is beefy!!

Cons: Title lacks severe progression mechanics, content becomes repetitive extremely fast.

Pros: Very cool art and combat style. The music and characters are well done as well.

Hopefully further updates will push this game towards the top of my list, but is unfortunately missing some core mechanics.

Absolute masterpiece
It's open world Dark Souls with tons of content out of the box. There are dozens of weapons and spells to find, all with their own weapon arts and spell animations. Every turn you take has you running into some cave, crypt, merchant or mini-boss.
PC performance is terrible and needs hotfixed, there are work-arounds, however. FPS is capped @60.

Still no settings to change FPS without editing files. Disappointing.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was this an amazing remake. I have every achievement from the base game and I STILL come back and play it from time to time. Probably the best Survival-Horror I've played since Dead Space 2.

Hands down the best Rouge-Like you'll ever play. Been over 5 years, It's still an "always in my library" game. Absolute hidden gem.
