The Recent update is pretty great, adds alot to an already massive game, but theres some issues , new and old.

my biggest issue is that the alignment gate keeping honestly just sucks

having your run halted entirely by such heavy rng is not very fun.
the alignment shops spawn on specific floors so if you get bad rng the 3-4 times they spawn, well your run can be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ completely out of your control. it wouldnt be as bad if you didnt need 3-4 stacks of alignment to even complete a run.
alignment is also effected by things you buy which can be annoying as the best shop, the black market, lowers your alignment.
all this makes unlocking certain characters more of a chore then anything ,

going a certain alignment should restrict some possibilities but open new interesting ones, which in the current build i dont think that is the case. simply having access to the black market makes evil alignment notably better then good.

Also most aimed weapons in this game (as in you have a crosshair and point where a projectile/ attack lands) just dont work compared to regular weapons where you just hold a direction
why do most melee weapons work this way? maybe im in the minority but this feels extremely clunky on controller. theres a good reason why no other roguelikes do this.

id rather most big swords to have a simple wide slash as this game lacks that kind of weapon, and aimed weapons like the grenade launcher to just have a set consistent range . or draws a line to where youre aiming and hits the closest one. or atleast the option too as i imagine for mouse it probably feels fine.

It lacks core things that made dead space enjoyable, boring weapons/boring gameplay loop/hardly enemy variety, id rather just play dead space again.

combat is inconsistent , youll trade blows alot , enemies will poise through attacks for no good reason , and its repetitive.
weapons are basic (unlike dead space)
melee combat never grows over the playthrough. you dont get more melee weapons , you only get 2 other moves, a counter and heavy hit , its just meh

(Btw I bought this here just to review.I have around 30hrs on Quest 2 version)

I highly recommend this game. I am a man of my word , my previous complaints have been addressed. You can now mute the lobby at the press of a button! Big love to the devs for getting this in , has made my experience 100% more enjoyable.

but Is this a good game? , yea. alot more fun and arcadey then Pavlov , far from the "COD in VR " of my dreams but certainly a step in that direction.

Headshot Dmg is a bit overtuned,this is likely by design. you will kill alot of folks just by "guestimating" at their face. so it makes snipers feel really irrelevant imo. im not sure if this is how CS works , but coming from COD i find it very strange.

Overrall great game so far.

easily one of the best art directions for a game like this ive seen.

gameplay is very much the result of trying to spread across 2 genre's tho. its fun, but the Roguelite elements feel a tad lacking.
I Finished the game but Im left wanting more of the combat, but very satisfied on the.."village builder"

Really fun gameplay , lots of bonus content surprisingly

this game is a absolutely banger so far great style , cool tunes , satisfying destruction while ripping through hordes

for my fellow controller homies it feels pretty solid on the sticks , the response curve is very smooth and the dead zone is good enough tho id prefer to modify it myself.

however the aim assist is EXTREMELY over tuned, to the point of damaging as once youre on target theres no way to get off target till its dead really , and aim assist is applied to destructibles too. an option to tune aim assist to ones liking would be greatly appreciated or just cut by like 75% as its really jarring in the current build of the game

its really sick to finally be able to play this , always heard good things and im not disapointed , top tier casual shooter with some interesting pve content too
