This game is immensely entertaining. I'm excited to see what the finished product looks like if this is early access. As with every game there are positives and negatives. I'll break down my thoughts below:

Graphics: 9/10 - Really beautiful - but somewhat demanding on a PC. I just upgraded my system from a 970 and 8GB of ram to a 4070 and 16GB. With the 970, whenever I'd select to launch the game it would popup a warning saying my PC requirements were too low and issues could be expected. With the 4070 I can play on the highest graphics, but I can hear my computer working for it.

Character Customization: 5/10 - Minimal. This is one area that could benefit from some extra options. Even someone who usually spends hours trying to carefully customize their character will be done in 5 minutes with the lack of options.

Building: 7.5/10 - Incredible. Absolutely love the system. The snapping can be finicky sometimes, but the fact that you can dig away and then build into the side of a mountain if you want is amazing. The main downside with the building is that it would be nice to have even more decorative options. There are a lot of building block types and they're quite lovely - but the lighting, plants, paintings and other decorative objects could be expanded on. Also sometimes it is difficult to get a good angle to build from – especially with roofing.

Combat: 9/10 - Fun! The talent tree system is great! It allows you to customize your character and pick from any specialization - tank, healer, battlemage, ranger, etc. - to create a unique character. The magic system is cool and enjoyable as well.

Questing: 8/10 - Fun quests, that are trackable on the map. They can feel like big adventures to set out on.

Puzzles: 10/10 - Possibly one of my favourite parts of this game. There are parts of the game that have a series of puzzles to solve, that aren't particularly hard, but they are very amusing.

World: 8/10 – Lots of different biomes, which is cool. I enjoy the open world challenges and dungeons. Areas are blocked off from exploring as you level depending on your flame level, which is a cool way to keep players focusing on the quests associated with their level first.

Crafting: 9/10 – Good system. There is lots to collect, but it is manageable with a little farming.

Farming/Crops: 9/10 – You get to create your own seeds and grow crops that can be used for food or crafting other items. They grow fast and you don’t have to water them.

Lore: 8/10 – Enjoyable.

I started playing this game after finishing all the available content in Disney's Dreamlight Valley. I thought nothing could entertain me that much - but this game is great! The pace feels a little slower than some farming/life sims I've played, but it's really enjoyable. It has the added twist that there is magic involved which makes it feel different than a lot of the Stardew/Harvest Moon clones out there. Also you can save anytime. Which is amazing.

UPDATE AFTER 50 HOURS PLAYED: I'm still absolutely loving this game. It's so fun! I have not come across any sort of paywall what-so-ever. I bought the game on sale and haven't paid a cent of my own money outside the original purchase. As that was my biggest concern before buying this game, I think that's the most important thing to know.


ORIGINAL AFTER 5 HOURS PLAYED: I've played this game for five hours...straight. It is everything I hoped it would be and then some! I was worried when I saw that it was a Disney game that I'd be stuck behind a paywall at every turn...but that hasn't been the case so far. I believe there are many in game purchases you CAN make, but I had fun running around and completing quests without ever needing to spend more than the cost of the initial game purchase.

This game is Kingdom Hearts meets Stardew Valley meets the Sims. You farm, you fish, you build relationships with the characters, but you also complete quests, use magic, craft and collect stuff. So far there is no combat, but I have mostly only explored the starting areas. The avatar builder and ability to customise your house are fun too!

Having played every scenario in the physical copy of this game, I was excited to try starting over from scratch. The digital version has pros and cons - not having to control the baddies is a definite perk. My husband would always do the monster actions and sometimes that would mean I'd be sitting waiting for awhile as he sorted out all the moving pieces. I do find the game play to be a bit more finicky with the digital version, but overall the experience is really positive. It's a great rendition of the board game!

Played through the entire game in a week with my SO over Christmas <3 The minute we finished I said "how long do you want to wait before we play it again?"

One of the greatest things about this game as far as replay-ability is concerned is how different May and Cody play.

There is so much going on in this game it is incredible! Absolutely recommend it.

I love this game :) It isn't the same as the first game - I do miss the Studio Ghibli cut scenes - but It is still a great game! Love the storyline, love the mechanics. I am not a huge fan of the "skirmishes" (tactical style battle quests) but I find it easy enough to mostly avoid them. Love the combat system! Love the sweet Hiddledies!

If you're looking for a well written, visually appealing visual novel game to consume you, make you laugh, smile and cry...look no further! I have loved every minute of this game! I was so impressed with each character that the princess gets to pursue. I was even more impressed that each story is different enough that it doesn't feel like you're repeating the exact same story over and over again!

This game is perfect for anyone who has played Long Live the Queen! So much fun.
