Let me start by playing that while I don't play this game as much anymore, I F***ing LOVE this game.

This game offers coop experience unlike most games released today. The gameplay is very Left 4 Dead but in the Warhammer Universe and character leveling and loot boxes and sub-classes. So... in layman's terms it's L4D, but expanded upon.

I haven't had time to really look into the Steam Workshop, though. Mod support is still new to me. This is something I need to check out more in greater detail.

The graphics are GORGEOUS for a game that has such low requirments. A round of applause needs to be given to the developers for making this game playable by many gamers of all sorts of PC rig qualities. Great support for people with lower-end rigs,

The vibes I get when playing this by myself or with friends is something similar to the action camaraderie seen in LotR. Seriosly, I can hear Howard Shore's music playing in my head while lopping some Northerners' heads off. The dialogue between the characters expand on lore, wonder, or are just plain comedic. You have such diverse personalities and my hats are off to the VA for making these characters come to life.

The graphic gore is toggleable in the options menu. This alone is a big seller for many parents out their that want their kids to enjoy today's games while still being able to maintain what their children see. Honestly, more games need to do this and if they did I would bet real money that sales would rise.

You will see people (most are veteran players) negatively reviewing this game now due to recent patch changes. While that may be a valid point, that doesn't really matter to myself, I guess. Since I don't play it as much as I used to. The negative reviewers will have more information on this, and I suggest you read some of the more helpful negative reviews for specific details.

I will admit I'm not a big loot box fan, but I feel like this game does it right in a sense that it's super easy to get them, multiple different ways, multiple times a day, every day, and there's no microtransactions whatsoever.

Learning the character's abilities is pretty easy, and you have to reach a certain level with a character to unlock the next sub-class which I think makes sense as a progression system.

The lack of DLC doesn't bother since the game has been out for less than a year. Everyone seems to expect DLC to come out like how CoD puts out new content. Not for this game, though. I love the content that Fatshark does put out. Whether it's new cosmetic items or new maps. This game is a passion-project for a tiny company; a lot of work and love has been put into the game and should be treated as such.

Like L4D, the level designs are mostly 'get from A to B' and finish objectives to progress along the way. The randomness of when new waves are coming can get kind of predictable after the first 100 hours or so, but that's to be expected. The variety of enemies and how large waves are can be changed via Steam Workshop Mods or doing certain Deeds acquired in-game, which are unique challenges that you better have a full party to tackle on. If you livestream, the Twitch Integration mode can spice things up.

The Twitch Integrated mode for streamers and viewers is simple, but SO MUCH FUN. at random intervals viewers in Twitch Chat can either give the team a boon or send the players a sudden wave of Stormvermin or throw a rat ogre at them. It's a fun way to liven things up in chat and a great way to gamble with your Twitch Community's loyalty currency.

The only thing I will say I dislike about the game is there is no Last Stand mode, or whatever it was called in Vermintide 1. Your generic endless waves of enemies mode and you hold out in a certain area. While I do wish V2 had it, I don't really see how that mode could be improved upon from V1. Regardless, I would love to see this brought back into the Vermintide Franchise,

All in all, this game is a work of passion. It won't be for everyone because it doesn't appeal to every gamer, as is the same for all games. But this work of passion is also a work of art. I love art. Undoubtedly I'm going to say "buy this game" because I love it. But if you are unsure, I would recommend checking out other people's reviews, seeing the game in action on Twitch and alike streaming platforms, and maybe buy the game when it's on sale, like now.

Thank you far taking the time to read this long review. I saw that the positive reviews dipped below 70% and I had to do something about it. Cheers!

EDIT: Unfortujnately, Tunngle seems to have gone offline. My apologies for not updating for some time. I am looking into other ways to play this online and will update again when I find a way.

Game on!

ORIGINAL:

Facial Animations better than Mass Effect: Andromeda

10/10

Armor Textures clearer than original Skyrim
Better voice acting than Final Fantasy X
Water reflection & rain better than Skyrim
Story is better than Call of Duty: Ghosts
Gore comparable to Fallout 3
Side Quests better than Preston Garvey
Coop better than Cod Zombies
Co-op Hack & Slash made for MAC (VERY RARE)
Replayability: High

The only issue is getting it to work on PC perfectly. There is an easy fix for connection issues, check Tunngle. Very simple fix, smooth connection throughout.

I've played this on all three main platforms. Can't get enough of it.

$20 pricing might be a bit outdated, yet the uniqueness of the game makes up for it.
360 controller recommended, as for all PC ports

One of the best games ever! The replayability of this game is astounding with over 15 potential endings! ;) Amazing job to the boys and girls at Galactic Cafe. Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece. 9.8/10!!
